Shoutout to these two lovely ladies! We had a 14 hour day today, picked them up at 5:30am and we finished at 7:30pm. When you choose Sherry Janis Photography, you not only support a small business, but you also help us hire local young help. For the past few years we’ve been able to provide part-time help, last year we upped it to sometimes having two assistants on one job. From primping our seniors and teams on a shoot , to being able to quickly set up and break down our sets to move to another shoot, to keeping a watchful eye on my gear—not to mention the great company they’ve been on the road ! Today they rose early and dealt with rain, high-noon heat on a football field, and kept going and this was most likely our last time to all 3 be together as these girls leave for college very soon! Kendall and Whitney, I’ve loved our time together and can’t wait to see all the amazing things you do in the future!

Shout out to my two assistants- Kendall and Whitney!!!
We’ve been all over- just this past week, Beeville, local shoots and today down in Corpus! Behind every successful shoot stands one of these two ladies (or sometimes both!) getting the light right! From knowing where I want them to stand, hauling gear around, to making sure my gear survives a session- to keeping an eye on hair, jewelry and more- I can’t tell you how great it is to have these two who have my back (literally 😂). I don’t know what I’ll do when these two leave for college 🤧😭😭 (the shot of them together—-I found that on my camera roll when I uploaded my images. I was testing the light and didn’t realize they struck a pose🤣)
