A huge shoutout to the incredible Art Department of Butterfly-Shaped Beads! 🎨 🎬

Led by our extremely talented Production Designer Elise Garner & Art Director Gracie Wente, this team took the beautiful Warner Bros backlot & transformed the space into the streets of Watts, Los Angeles 1966.

Art has always been especially important to me, even more so for this production. Telling a story based around such an important historical event, I wanted every detail of the world to feel intentional, lived-in & true. This team understood that responsibility & they didn’t just build the world, they set the tone for it & made it feel alive. Beyond the incredible work on screen, I had such a lovely experience working with everyone in this department on set. They were so thoughtful, helpful & caring throughout the entire process and truly made this experience so special for me. 🥹

Forever grateful for the artistry, research, care & imagination that went into every corner of the frame. Thank you for taking so much care with this story & for bringing this world to life! 🫶🏽🦋
