We wish we could celebrate every single person individually because there are so many stories worth sharing and so many people doing meaningful work.

Friend, Today as I head to your funeral service and to lay you to rest, I still can’t fully wrap my head around the fact that you’re gone. 💔

Modeling and specifically working at Ashley Stewart brought us together. You would come stay with me whenever you were booked in NJ/NY, but somewhere along the way we got close and locked in. We built a bond, a friendship, a sisterhood.

I’ll forever cherish the birthdays, trips, shoots, random visits, FaceTime calls, laughs, conversations and all the memories we made over the years. I’ll cherish your smile, your laugh, your energy, your big personality and the way you could light up a room just by being in it. There truly was only one you and to know you was to love you.

I keep thinking about our last FaceTime call. What was supposed to be us catching up and talking about your trip to Africa became me seeing you in a hospital gown, telling me you were having trouble breathing. With tears in my eyes, I told you that you were going to be okay. I told you I loved you, and you told me you loved me too. I asked you to check in with me every day, and you did… until you couldn’t. I never imagined that would be the last time I would hear your voice.

As painful as that memory is, I’m so grateful I got the chance to tell you I loved you one more time—and to hear you say it back.

A world without you doesn’t feel right, it seems less bright. You had so much life left to live, so many things you still wanted to accomplish. But I know the life you did live mattered tremendously to so many. You loved big, you lived fully, and you left pieces of yourself with so many and your impact will live on through every person who was blessed enough to know and love you.

My heart hurts for your mommy, your family, your friends, and everyone whose life you touched. And selfishly, my heart hurts for me too, because I wasn’t ready to lose my friend, my sister. I don’t think any of us were.

I love you, friend. I’ll carry you with me always. Rest well, You did your big one here on Earth. Until we meet again @wondrea . 🕊️💔

This birthday was about so much more than celebrating another year of life. It was about obedience, transformation, surrender, and becoming bolder in my faith.

God placed a vision in my heart to create spaces outside of church walls where people can gather, worship, build community, and encounter Him-spaces where we can enjoy life without compromising our faith or who God is calling us to become.

For my 33rd birthday, I decided to obey.
I hosted a faith-centered dinner with no alcohol, Christian hip-hop, R&B and worship music, conversations about God, prayer, love, laughter, and community.
And honestly, I was scared.

I wondered how people would respond.
Would they still come, enjoy themselves, or understand the vision? There were moments when fear almost caused me to cancel.

Then came the rainstorm.

It felt like everything tried to stop this night from happening, but I kept going.
Sometimes resistance does not mean you are on the wrong path. Sometimes it means what you are carrying matters.

To everyone who wanted to come but could not make it, I am truly sorry. You were missed, and your love was still felt. To everyone who pushed through the rain, showed up, prayed with me, celebrated with me, and supported the vision-thank you.

Your presence meant more than you know.
What happened in that room was greater than anything I could have planned. People left feeling refreshed, restored, encouraged, and grateful to experience God outside of church.

This was also my first sober birthday in years. That showed me how far God has brought me. I did not have to water down my faith, separate God from my celebration, or become someone else to make the moment special.

I simply had to obey.

This celebration was also the soft launch @thisisnazareth, the ministry my fiancé and I are building together-creating spaces for people to encounter God, strengthen their faith, and grow in community.

May this remind you to be bold for Christ.
Obey even when your voice shakes. Keep building when fear tells you to stop. Keep going when the rain comes.

This is only the beginning.
