Another great Birthday Party... this time my South East Coast Family...
So Lucky to get this group together and have them all in my life. Some stories with this crew.

From Birth, to Pioneer Middle school, the Beginning of my Boxing career, Ft. Lauderdale, Miami Beach, Groove Jet, My Irish Gang and moving gyms(Darren) 😂 and a whole lot more..

A few people couldn't make it and you were all definitely missed and sorry if you didn't get your invite for one reason or the other.

I hope one day I can get all of my friends together from all over the world. I can honestly say I feel like the luckiest guy in the world to have all of you as my family. Thanks Again for another night of great memories!!!

Angelo Dundee (born Angelo Mirena; August 30, 1921 – February 1, 2012). It’s been 8yrs and you’re definitely missed. Thanks for being you. “It don’t cost nuthin to be nice” Angelo Dundee...................... Ali told The New York Times in 1981: “You come back to the corner and he’ll say, ‘The guy’s open for a hook,’ or this or that. ” If he tells you something during a fight, you can believe it. As a cornerman, Angelo is the best in the world.” #mentor #friend #cornerman #angelodundee #ali #icon #legend #halloffame

I was definitely heading down the wrong path. I was mad at the hand life had dealt me. I just got out of high school, my father had just passed away, I just found out my mom was sick, and I was angry at the world..............................Then life handed me a Wild Card and I met Nate... He was the trainer for former heavy weight contender Razor Ruddok. He was the first person to get me into a boxing gym, my first trainer, took me to my first fight, first sparring sessions, gave me my first heavy bag, introduced me to Angelo Dundee and the list goes on... At the time I didn’t realize what a life changing experience a simple invite to the gym would have on me...I didn’t realize Nate’s motives at the time but he was slowly trying to save me and as he would say “on Matt’s terms and no one else’s”. That’s the beauty of being a boxing trainer... you learn your fighter and what makes them tick... You make them do things they didn’t think they could do... He did a great job finding out what made me tick. I cannot thank him enough for what he did for me. Great to see you and to catch up. Thanks Nate, I will forever be grateful.
