What's the statute of limitations on forgetting to post? Here I am 19 months after my @senditfoundation Costa Rica trip January 2025 🥲 doing my best interpretation of a sloth or monkey and cheesing it up on the river as we went whitewater rafting. If you're an AYA cancer survivor/thriver, I highly recommend signing up for an adventure trip!! @lunavidaadventures is now also hosting trips directly for women who've had cancer 🤩🤩

Sometimes the thing that derails you is actually the thing that saves you.

She thought it was just a jellyfish sting… but that sent her on a journey to fight her cancer diagnosis.

“Boom boom bam. It’ll be over and everything goes back to normal.”

Yeah… we both thought that. 😅

But healing doesn’t work like that. You can’t will it into existence or just put in extra effort and suddenly be better. It has its own timeline. And a lot of it is completely out of your control.

That’s the part nobody tells you. 🤍

A midnight notification. A rare cancer diagnosis. And a decision to heal on her own terms.

@kenna_inbloom was 23 and living her best life in San Diego when synovial sarcoma stopped her world. What got her through wasn’t just treatment — it was mindset, ownership, and the refusal to let cancer write her story.

Today she’s cancer free, producing documentaries, and hosting What I Wish I Knew — a podcast dedicated to everything she wishes someone had told her at diagnosis.

This conversation reminded me why I started Sick Burn 🔥

🎧 Out now on all platforms. Link in comments ⬇️

I used to think becoming lovable meant becoming smaller.

more agreeable.
more impressive.
more digestible.
less emotional.
less weird.
less me.

A lot of my life since has been an unraveling of that—

dropping out.
moving across the country with no plan.
building community.
learning how to trust myself.
realizing success means very little if your life doesn’t actually feel like yours. 🤧

I think a lot of women are deeply disconnected from themselves without even realizing it.

This page—and my entire existence 🤫—is really about coming back…

to your truth.
to your joy.
to your body.
to your relationships.
to the parts of you that were never meant to disappear just because they weren’t easy for other people to understand. 😮‍💨

If something in you misses yourself lately,
I hope you feel at home here. ♡

Loves yall,
Hailee

Every once in a while you meet someone who is just a shining light 🌅

That was exactly how it felt sitting down with @kenna_inbloom. Even though we talked about the very difficult reality of cancer and recovery, this conversation was filled with so much perspective, strength, and joy.

What stood out to me most was the way she looks at healing… How a moment that could have completely upended her life instead transformed her path into something more meaningful and aligned.

Truly one of the most special people I’ve had the privilege of speaking with.

Make sure to check out her awesome podcast @whatiwishiknewcancer and give her a follow!

This is a conversation you won’t want to miss when the episode drops 🎧
