eighteen years. wow. everytime she grows older, i realize that i’ve grown with her aswell. i think it’s such a special thing to be able to grow up with someone who has made an impact in your preteen life. she has always been so intelligent and sophisticated ever since she was little; she grew even more wiser since then. little me couldn’t have picked a better role model. i think that it’s so sweet how little me picked up mckenna’s vocabulary and mannerisms (down to our mindset) and it has stayed with me until now. it actually baffles me that she has done so many things that may seem impossible when we were young, and yet, she manages to do it. the feeling of proudness towards her cannot be expressed into words. i am so proud of her and i know that the universe has so much in store for her. i have been there since her 11th birthday, and every birthday since then, she has achieved phenomenal things i couldn’t even begin to fathom. she made me believe that if you really put your mind on something, you are one step closer into getting it. i want to thank her for all the times she made me feel okay with being myself, for creating music i could relate, cry & scream to, the melodies i couldn’t get out of my head for weeks, the lyrics that gave me a whole new perspective, the acting that made a lot of my favorite films came to life, and last but not least, her bubbly personality & sense of self. she reminds me to look at bad things in a whole another perspective, to see the good in bad, to make the best out of a bad day, and that it’s okay to cry sometimes. i hope in this age she can grow even more wiser than she already is, reflect on her good days rather than the bad ones, and have the most fun than she’s ever felt in her life. this is a new chapter in her life and i am beyond excited to see what comes next. @mckennagraceful your existence is something that should be celebrated everyday. enjoy your day and be the best and truest version of yourself! i love you more than the love you have for minecraft 🤭 now go be the superstar u were born to be!
