Hiking up the beautiful trails of Davis Lake ⛰️ @campspalding

Flower power is one of my favorite camp traditions. Everyone gets a flower. You go around to your friends trading flowers and affirming how you saw the Lord move in their life this week, or simply what you love about them! Such a beautiful way to admire Gods creation!

Our cabin decided to take a sunrise hike, so we woke up at 4:15 and hiked up to the camp cross. Couldn’t have asked for a better way to start our last morning at camp!

My best friend and I have been coming to Camp Spalding together for seven years now. Year after year, I think it couldn’t get any better, but every time I’m proven wrong.
The way Andy and Chrissy, the camp directors, have built not only a camp but a home for so many kids is truly beautiful. Without Spalding and its amazing staff, I know for a fact that my faith would look entirely different. Each year, I grow closer to God, feeling His presence and hearing Him speak to me more and more.
This year, I left with something so special that has taken me years to figure out: how to discern my own thoughts from God’s voice. It hasn’t been easy, but the work and faith it took along the way made it so worthwhile.
I’ll say this year after year: if you haven’t tried Camp Spalding and feel like something is missing, give camp a chance. You won’t regret it.
