🎭 Auditions are coming. Let’s help your performer feel prepared!

A dance audition asks students to learn choreography quickly, perform confidently, and keep going even when they miss a step. Those skills take practice, and having a chance to work on them before audition day can make a real difference.

The Performer’s Edge is a two-hour Dance & Musical Theatre Audition Prep Workshop for students in grades 9 through 12. We’ll focus on:

✨ Dance technique and learning choreography
✨ Stage presence and performance quality
✨ Some lifts and tricks
✨ Practical audition tips
✨ A mock dance audition with individual feedback

Students will have a chance to ask questions, try new skills, and leave knowing what to work on before their next audition. Experienced dancers and students who feel less confident with movement are both welcome!

I’m Lindsay English, owner of Sculpt Pilates Studio. My background includes more than 30 years of choreography experience, over 15 years teaching in schools, and a degree in Musical Theatre from Northwestern State University with minors in Dance and Kinesiology. I’m also a BASI Comprehensive Certified Pilates instructor. Helping students grow as performers has been one of the most rewarding parts of my career, and I’m excited to bring that experience to this workshop!
