Some film from the past month: a camp wedding, visiting friends, local friends. 🎞️ 🍺 🛶 👰

Bought an Olympus Point & Shoot 📸 to make sure all my photos don’t just live (and die) on my phone. It won’t let me set the date past the 1990s, so now all my summer photos are tagged as October 1996.

Developed some film from DrongoFest ‘26 a few weeks back. Magical weekend, Kennedy and I talked about how when it was over it felt like coming back to earth after spending time in outer space. 📸 🎻 🪕💃 🪐🚀

My new album, My God is a Consuming Fire, comes out July 10th on Carbon Records.

“Homespun, hymnal, and hypnotic, Ethan W. Olsen’s My God is a Consuming Fire is a shapeshifting and vital work of contemporary six-string storytelling. The album’s centrepiece, a 15 minute piece called ‘The Ely War’ is a cathartic odyssey through the throat, belly, and bowels of the acoustic guitar.”
- Jesse Eckerlin

I’d like to thank everyone who has been involved and supported me over the past 2+ years this has been in the works. I’d especially like to thank Sadie and Kennedy for their performances, Paige for her artwork, and Joe for making it all happen.

If you ever met Cleveland, you met the purest form of love. No one deserved him and I’ll never know what I did to get so lucky. He was a part of every area of our lives and there will forever be a missing piece. I don’t know what Sticky Rice is going to do without you. I do not know what we’re going to do without you. My sweet Clevie, you changed my life. Truly one in a billion.

Exactly one year ago we saw Phish for the first time and vowed next time we would do a crazy trip to see them again in the future. 🐠 🎸 ☮️

A Vegas trip where the only gamble was splurging on three (!) nights to a band whose songs we barely know (and sometimes…barely even like 😅). 🎰🌵 🪩

A lovely excuse to dance among a goofy community of rich hippies, sit (and knit) by the pool (see Kennedy’s Phish-friendly skirt 👀 ), and recover from 3 nights of 3.5+ hour shows at a couples spa/massage day. 💃 🧶💆🏻‍♀️👙

Congrats again to @ksocaroline and @pyatrick whose wedding gave Kennedy and I a pleasant excuse to do an Edinburgh trip 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 💒 ✈️
I think we ate haggis twice a day, always tried to get a sticky toffee pudding dessert, and skipped the castle tours in order to seek out fiddle pub bands. 🎻🍻🏰
