AJ Smith-Shawver is expected to begin a rehab assignment Thursday at the Braves’ spring training complex, according to @mrchadbishop .

The 23-year-old, who underwent Tommy John surgery in June 2025, is scheduled to throw two innings and 35-40 pitches in a simulated game.
