POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

to all my athletes,

This summer was a really special one for me. Coaching has become a new passion and, honestly, a new direction in my life — and each of you has played a part in that journey.

Getting to watch you grow, improve, challenge yourselves and get better at something you love has been one of the best parts of my summer. But beyond basketball, getting to know each of you as individuals has been just as rewarding. You’re all so different, with your own personalities, goals, strengths and stories, and that’s what made coaching you so much fun.

I hope you leave this summer not only with better basketball skills, but with a few things you can carry with you through life — confidence, discipline, resilience, the ability to handle challenges, and a better understanding of who you are and what you’re capable of.

Thank you for trusting me, challenging me, and allowing me to be a small part of your journey. You’ve all impacted mine more than you probably realize. 🤍

A huge thank you to Jesse at Revive for giving me the space to grow this passion, work with athletes and build a community around something I love.

A special thank you to Megan Reid and Laurier WBB for the opportunity to be involved in player development this summer. Being able to learn from and work alongside such high-level coaches has given me so much room to grow, and I’m so grateful for the experience.

And thank you to Phil for giving me the opportunity to build my confidence in leadership through Nike Basketball Camps. Those experiences have meant a lot to me and have helped me realize how much I enjoy this side of the game.

This is only the beginning. 🏀

✨SUNDAY SPOTLIGHT ✨

Kennedi is a multi-sport athlete with tennis as her first love 🎾 and basketball as her newest challenge 🏀 — and she’s taken to it fast! Her speed, coordination, and skill level at such a young age and height are truly impressive.

Only 11 years old and competing on our U16 team this summer, Kennedi showed incredible courage, work ethic, and willingness to learn. That kind of dedication at her age is special. 💪

She’s a three-level scorer who can shoot it with confidence and has great handles for her size. I had the pleasure of coaching her this past summer and the future is bright for this young hooper! 🌟

This U16 summer team was the reason Heat Check Hoops even came to life. Over 9 weeks, I got to watch this group grow, be challenged, get better, and build each other up. For better or for worse, I became part of their basketball journey — and they became a huge part of mine.

This summer taught me so much about coaching: how to connect with different personalities, how to lead through tough moments, and how to support young athletes both on and off the court. Every single player inspired me in their own way, and they reminded me why I love this game so much.

They were hands down my favorite part of the summer — the reason I want to keep diving deeper into coaching and continue building something special. Grateful for this group and the memories we made 🧡🏀🔥

S/o to @yvyelitebasketball for giving me the opportunity to coach this summer which helped spark this whole thing

Just because we haven’t posted in 7 days doesn’t mean we aren’t hooping over here 😎✨🏆🏀

How’s everyone doing… prepping for a new season… tryouts…. Back to school… all the things!!

Just remember: 7 days without ball… makes ONE WEAK. Keep grinding y’all. Keep showing up. You got this. 🏀🏆🏀

When the OBA announced they didn’t have enough girls teams to run a summer league, we had to PIVOT and find one of our own!

👉🏽Insert @stacbasketball and @midnight_basketball_hamilton !!!

They stepped up and created a local league and an amazing opportunity for girls to play every Friday night at HillField.
.
We truly had a blast playing with girls from all over the Hamilton (and surrounding) areas.
🏀
The coaches brought the fun energy, the parents brought the cheer and the girls provided the competitive edge we all love!
🏀
Shout out to EVERY SINGLE GIRL who played this summer. We see you! Great job y’all. See you on the courts in just a few weeks…. ✨✨✨🏀🏀🏀

Thanks again to the organizers for going for it!!! We hope it continues to grow every summer and more girls come play. 🏀🏆
