To be real, it’s taken me a few weeks to decompress, take it all in and really understand what we just did.

Fk,I’m still trying to wrap my head around it all tbh

What started as a fun little Thursday hang has introduced me to, and connected me with, a whole new community of people. That’s probably the part that means the most to me 🫶🏾

Big love to the Sydney scene for supporting us, growing with us and really making Sultry your own. It’s something I feel incredibly lucky to have in my life and something I’m immensely proud of.

Selling out City Recital Hall was a massive “ok… wow, this is wild” moment. Having that room full and feeling the energy of 1400 people was nuts.

We haven’t released a song. We haven’t released an album. Yet somehow there is this amazing community behind what we’re building, and it really makes me think about what could still be ahead for this collective.

An album? A tour? Both? Honestly, we don’t know yet.

What I do know is that we’re hungry to keep growing it, keep pushing ourselves and keep creating projects that feel authentic, exciting and a little unexpected into the new year and beyond.

A massive shout out to every artist who has been part of this journey, from the very first show to now. You are such a huge part of what makes Sultry what it is, and a huge part of why I’ve enjoyed this whole thing so much.

There’s also something really special about the energy the crowd gives you when you’re up there in such a vulnerable setting. You’re making decisions in real time, nothing is polished or guaranteed, and you can feel the room giving you permission to take the risk.

At a time when everything around us seems to be getting more polished, more perfect and more manufactured, there’s something pretty powerful about a room full of people embracing something completely human, unpredictable and unfinished.

It can be extremely challenging, but it’s also incredibly fulfilling. Walking onto a stage not knowing exactly what is about to happen is a rollercoaster every single time.

But it’s taught me how to let go. Not only in music, but in life too.

Thanks Sultry fam x x x go SYD improv scene!
