Thursday’s opening for Collective Survival was a DREAM. Attendees filled the gallery with warm curiosity, mingling with one another while taking in the work on display at Bowery 🌍 @galupagos_island provided a beautiful soundtrack to our reception. The night exceeded all of my expectations as a first-time curator.

I’m deeply grateful to the talented humans who contributed their art to the space. Each artist provides a unique approach to collage/mixed media, and each piece makes its own statement while fitting perfectly with my vision for this show.

Collective Survival would not have been remotely possible without the encouragement, guidance, and assistance from @boweryartcollective and @friendsofmetuchenarts. This support has sustained me through each step of the planning and execution process 🙏🏿

Community is the overarching theme of the show, and community was in the house on 6/18 🫶🏿🌍

Reach out if you’re interested in seeing the exhibit (there’s SO MUCH to see) - it closes on 7/18.

Ken Palko 's puzzle piece is full of movement and color… He writes on the back "post abduction" which is very intriguing for "We Are All Connected Art Project" @kenpalko
