Thank you, thank you, thank you so much to everyone for the birthday well-wishes and support! How cool was it to be at a marathon with such an amazing photo finish!

Terry isn’t on social media and would never announce this himself, so I’m going to brag for him: he placed 7th in his age group! 🎉 So proud!

And we are honored that Alan asked us to be a part of the inaugural charity run for KenSAP. It was awesome to meet scholars who have gone through the program and hear about their accomplishments firsthand. 🤩

There is still time to give and support future scholars (you can find the link in my story, or on my FB and LinkedIn)! We are so grateful to witness the great work organizations like KenSAP are doing and support them in making sure their stories are being told. Start training, running friends — there are more of these to come! 👟

P.S. if you are marathon spectating in the future and need some tips, happy to share about my pitfalls! 😅

Africa has one of the youngest populations in the world — 75% under the age of 35.

Yet access to global-class education remains out of reach for so many talented students.

@kensap_inc bridges this opportunity gap by preparing Kenya’s brightest minds for higher education abroad and supporting them every step of the way.

When you donate today, Elephant Cooperation will match your gift, dollar-for-dollar, up to $50,000 — multiplying the number of students who can access life-changing opportunities.
Help turn potential into possibility.

Thrilled to share that I’m serving as Captain of the LA Marathon team for the Kenya Scholar-Access Program (KenSAP), where I’m proud to work as Development Coordinator.

I’m fundraising to support incredible students I’ve had the privilege to live with, teach, and work alongside. You can learn more about their journeys and KenSAP’s mission on my fundraising page.

About 1.5 years ago, I underwent Osteochondral Allograft Transplant (OATS) knee surgery. Running a full marathon isn’t healthy healing choice for me right now, but I will be racing the 5K the day before the marathon—and I’m aiming to win!

For those who saw me relearn to walk (and witnessed the faceplants along the way), you know how meaningful it is to train at all again, and I couldn’t imagine a better reason to get out of my comfort zone than for @KenSAP.

To support, please donate via the link in my bio!
