“NO NEED TO SPEAK”
Marshall Dane | RBT

A favourite photo - one that points to beginnings and firsts. ❤️

This is a photo I took of Marshall during the filming of “No Need To Speak” - Marshall and my first co-write.

What began as a first session, a first conversation, became a song inspired by Marshall’s heart and admiration for the Deaf community. A song that was the beginning of a songwriting partnership that continues to grow.

September is Deaf Awareness Month.

Sharing this song in honour of the community that inspired it and the beautiful reminder that sometimes being heard is by simply being present in someone’s moment …

No need to speak
No need for words
Don’t need the noise
Know that you’re heard

NO NEED TO SPEAK
Songwriters - Marshall Dane & Rosanne Baker Thornley
Performed by Marshall Dane
Produced by Will Schollar
Mixed by Ben Pelchat, Kensington Sound
Kevin Howley, Drums
Doug Johnson, Pedal Steel
Bg vox - Will Schollar, RBT
Mastered by Andy Krehm, Silverbirch Productions

September 19, 5 PM 🎙️🎶

Join CONVERSATIONS w. JAYMZ BEE at Kensington Sound with Taylor Abrahamse.

A Toronto creative force since the early days of Kensington Market’s music scene, Jaymz Bee has spent decades moving between music, broadcasting, film and writing. For this conversation, he sits down with Taylor Abrahamse — a genre-defying singer, songwriter, actor and multi-instrumentalist whose soaring vocals and playful songwriting have taken her from Canadian stages to North American tours.

From being a five-year-old Elvis impersonator and a Canadian Idol finalist to creating music with legendary producer Eddie Kramer and building recording spaces for Toronto’s arts community, Taylor’s career has never followed one straight path. Now openly performing as genderfluid, she continues to push beyond the borders of song, gender and genre while creating work rooted in joy, play and social conscience.

Come hear Taylor’s story, career and creative journey in conversation with Jaymz Bee — right inside Kensington Sound, a space with its own place in Toronto’s music history.

September 19 | 5 PM — Kensington Sound
Tickets: $10 at the door

Delighted to announce that Peirson’s next release with @dopaminedreamband is available for free at @bandcamp
and streaming everywhere else
Thursday August 27, 2026.

“Thanks to Vezi Tayeb of the legendary Kensington Sound Studio, Peirson and Dopamine Dream band friends came together to perform this album for a live audience in the winter of this year. In the wake of the high octane Dopamine Dream shows, this one is a soulful return to Peirson’s acoustic roots featuring a mellow collection of his favourite covers and a few originals. “Homage to Love” celebrates quieter moments and if you listen carefully you can hear the audience singing along to these timeless pieces”.

Anna Taylor - Muse Magazine

“GIVE ME ONE MORE NIGHT”

Just taking a moment to thank Radio Wigwam and Ro Jordan for recently featuring “Give Me One More Night” on their ‘Remember The Name’ show.

It makes me smile to know that, at any given time, different songs of mine are finding their way onto radio around the world. Each one has its own story to tell.

What I love is that every song carries more than the recording itself. It holds memories of the writing, the musicians, the filming, the conversations, the people, and the moments that quietly shaped what it became.

So today I’m pointing back to this song - and this video - to remember and celebrate the hearts inside and behind it. That every song is journal entry in my life is one of the greatest gifts songwriting has given me. I don’t simply hear the song - I find the people, the stories, and the experiences that live inside it.

I’d love for you to watch the video and hear the song if you’ve missed it in the past.

RBT - “GIVE ME ONE MORE NIGHT”
Radio Wigwam, UK 🇬🇧
REMEMBER THE NAME, hosted by Ro Jordan

Wigwam Radio’s “Remember the Name” hosted by Ro Jordan, is about discovering the real stories behind the songs - about the movement of artists reclaiming control over their music - and focused on Artists they feel should be remembered.

Thank you to Ro Jordan and Radio Wigwam for featuring me and “Give Me One More Night” on their show, and for the kind introduction ... 🩵

Pleased to see this single continuing to find its light.
