Several weeks ago when spring break was quickly approaching I had to cancel a surprise beach trip to Florida due to cooler than preferred temps for a beach trip. At Jason’s urging, I looked up last minute cruise deals and reluctantly booked a 7 day cruise for Kensley and I, within less than 24 hours we were packed and on our way to the cruise terminal!

All the boys either opted out or couldn’t go due to work commitments. Sooo…Kensley and I embarked on our first girls only trip! I will have to admit, I was a little nervous about going without Jason yet overjoyed and so touched at the excitement Kensley had about taking a trip with just me without the rest of the family!

My advice for anyone contemplating a trip…especially a girls trip…take.the.trip. We had the very best time together! This was such a sweet gift that I will forever be grateful for and will be committed to making time for more of these trips in the future! The conversation, the beautiful sunsets at dinner each night, checking off bucket list activities, playing games, and just relaxing, all with my sweet girl was just what both of our hearts needed I think! So grateful for my beautiful girl and the sweet soul she is and the relationship we have. I can not wait to see where our next adventure leads us!
