Community commitment is more than something we say…it’s something we put into action. 💙

Ken and I were honored to volunteer at the Black Chamber’s First Inaugural Gala and support an organization dedicated to strengthening local businesses, building meaningful connections, and creating opportunities within our community.

As the owners of Fresh Coat Painters of Iowa Colony, we believe in showing up, giving back, and helping the communities we serve thrive. We were proud to be a part of such a special evening—and, of course, the Fresh Coat truck came along too!

Celebrating Freedom, Heritage, and Community!

Tonight, our Chamber Ambassadors, Ken and Angela Thompson, proudly represented The Black Chamber of Brazoria County at the 2026 Brazoria County Juneteenth Banquet hosted by the Brazoria County Juneteenth Committee in Angleton, Texas.

Events like these provide an opportunity to honor the rich history and significance of Juneteenth while bringing together community leaders, organizations, businesses, and residents committed to preserving our shared heritage and advancing our communities.

We are grateful to Ken and Angela for serving as outstanding ambassadors of the Chamber and for helping us build meaningful relationships throughout Brazoria County.

A special thank you to Chamber member Lynn and the team at Brazoria County WFG Dream Builders for inviting us to join them for this inspiring evening of celebration and community fellowship. We appreciate your partnership and continued support of our Chamber.

Thank you to the Brazoria County Juneteenth Committee for hosting an evening dedicated to reflection, celebration, and unity.

Okay listen… I KNOW it’s officially days past New Year’s 😅 but don't worry about that... because this personal recap deserved its moment.

2025 surprised me in ways I never saw coming especially when it came to family and community.

2025 gently expanded my world. The holiday season especially filled my cup. Opening my home, hosting Christmas Eve game night, and sharing space with people I love was such a meaningful moment for me. Joy, laughter, connection, it was everything my heart needed and more.

And to close out this little time capsule of 2025 Halloween.
Our neighborhood block party was unforgettable. Everyone showed up and showed OUT. We danced the night away, and when our neighborhood security officer rolled through? He got pulled straight into the fun 😂 (that last clip still makes me laugh).
This is just a small snapshot of what community looked like for me in 2025.
Grateful beyond words, and excited, knowing this is only the beginning. ✨🤍#
