Officially a Solon alumni 🎓🧡

Seniorits wasn't really a thing for me this year, until 2 months ago when I heard this song. My whole Solon career was challenging, as I lost my dog my senior year, my two best friends moved in the span of 8th grade to freshman year, and then I battled acne and injuries for years not knowing why until my junior year when I got diagnosed with a life long autoimmune disorder that made daily skills hard to do. High school can be hard for a lot of people, but I found it extremely difficult when I went through the last 2 years alone, my friends moving on and becoming strangers as I ate lunch alone and prayed for a good friend group everyday until being alone was just a norm. I soon became just someone in the halls no one knew or saw because I never went to sporting events or senior events due to not having anyone to go with. This feeling overtime turned numb and it mentally didn't impact me after years of fighting for friends to stay and hurting because of the mental toughness gymnastics and volleyball coaches put on me. This song was the song that my dad played on the way to school all throughout elementary, intermediate, and middle school with the jeep top off. At the time me and my siblings were so young to care, as we screamed everytime to turn it off since we thought it was annoying, I now wish I could go back and get to experience that one last time with my dad screaming this song to annoy us more, with happiness and laughter echoing all throughout the car. I wish I could go back to my early childhood in elementary school where I wouldnt get bullied on the bus for how I looked or what I wore or how big my forehead was or how much acne I had or who I was friends with. It was all so nice back then. If only I could go back. So on that note, although I had a harsh 4 years of high school, I am beyond excited to move on in life, save animals, and go to college for veterinary medicine. Thank you to all of the teachers, coaches and friends I have had throughout the years that made me a better person, and to people that stood by my side though the easy and hard, and especially thank you to my family🤍🧡 Let's go change the world now🐾✌️
