Sometimes God gives you an opportunity to improve yourself and develop patience and respect for something you take for granted like sightreading music. I’ve been sightreading music since I was a boy and I take for granted the brilliant teachers and mentors God placed in my path sometimes. This week we received a new hire that was never afforded those opportunities and that academic approach to reading at first sight. I am absolutely determined to teach him what he wants to learn. Thank you to Bill Alford, Elgin Mayfield and @kenyoncarter for sharing your knowledge with me, even when I couldn’t afford the lessons. #fundamentals #sightreading #music #cruiseshipmusicians #rcluniversity #teach

Being hired for private parties and events was something I imagined would happen someday.

I don't remember the exact day it did all those years ago, but alas I still pinch myself when we're loading in to a private Greater Palm Springs home, venue, country club, the owner or guest of honor excited with anticipation. The guest smiling, not expecting live entertainment.

It's a life beyond my widest dreams - a musical nomad or sorts. Every booking a new experience to bond with new people, and maybe even see some of our friends & followers that attend our weekly residencies. Always smiles and that special connection ensue.

Clients have no idea how life changing their decision to hire us is. It puts musicians to work, food on their family's tables, and security in a profession that is constantly changing.

We appreciate you!

still reeling…

I started building my show a year and a half ago, and every single vision and dream I had about it came true last night. I seriously couldn’t have asked for a better premiere at PS Underground. And my BAND!?!! I’m over the moon. Thank you to Jaci, Jeff, Kenyon, Tod, Emily, and my dad for making everything so beautiful. And to everyone who sold out the show, I’m forever indebted. Thank you, thank you, thank you. 💙
