Slowly dipping my toes into G&G’s next season and started with Mackenzie + Michael’s beautiful wedding at @powelcrosleyestate. It was a magical day filled with so much love, textured blooms, and it was so lovely getting to bring their vision to life. Looking forward to the designs in the upcoming months!

This week, after 3 1/2 years, I said goodbye to VBMA. I am so incredibly grateful for all of the opportunities I was given throughout my time there. If I could personally thank every single person I’ve met, I would but since I can’t, I guess this will have to do.

Catherine, thank you for being so kind to me, my mom and Michael that day we visited the Art Zone for the first time. Because of you, my career in the museum would have never existed.

Education, thank you for the memories filled with laughter, talks of books, and constant craft ideas. I love you all!

Anke, thank you for giving me the opportunity to be the collections & exhibitions assistant and always having faith in me.

Madeline, Sean and Jim, thank you for being my mentors, my friend and my family. I learned so much from the three of you and I will forever cherish all of the silly and serious moments.

Mary, thank you for continuing to support me over the last year. I am truly grateful for our friendship and the constant reminder that women are strong and capable of more than people give us credit for.

Caitlin, thank you for continuing to put your faith into my abilities. You might not have realized it, but you always pushed me to be the best employee I could be for not only our department but the museum.

To everyone else I’ve met along the way, THANK YOU for always being kind, welcoming and supportive. I will never forget the daily hello’s, the laughs and the constant love that was shown over 3 1/2 years.

Ahhh and the summer comes to a conclusion here. This experience here has been insane from just learning the ins and out of a museum, to teaching and assisting in outreach and museum workshops, and curating/installing a 40 piece student gallery. I can’t imagine it being as great as it was without these folks. Y’all’d’ve made this summer the best and I’ll miss y’all!!

I remember when Jason came over for the first date, stopped the car, came inside (WITH FLOWERS) and shook Vilius’s hand and introduced himself to us. They closed the door and I laughed, looked at Vilius and said,”wow. That’s it….”
That’s it.
There she goes.
And I write this full of tears because I know the journey she went through, and came out SHINING ✨
And I’m so proud of them 🫶🏼 I got to watch it. The whole thing. I can’t wait to watch you walk down the aisle, but we should find a way to preserve makeup first… // #engaged #bestie #bawlinglikeababy

CANCER FREE!! My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer in October and after surgery, chemo, and radiation she won the fight 🥊 You continue to show us what being strong means. Love you momma❤️
