POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

@cincinnatitradition Thank you. My first season marching independent could not have been filled with any better people. The bonds I’ve made with staff, people in other sections, and the people in CTP have been some of the closest bonds I’ve made with anyone. This season taught me so much about myself. I am so glad that I’ve built so many relationships with so many people with the same shared goal. I would like to wish everyone good luck in whatever future endeavors they pursue. And thank you to everyone who drove me around, I swear I’m getting my license soon.

This group helped me find my footing at the lowest point of my marching career. This was a very challenging season for me personally both on and off the field. Throughout my time in this activity there are a lot of things that I have just let go, or called "good enough". My goal this season was to beat that mindset out of myself. To take it slowly and do it the right way. Whether that's my technical approach to my instrument, the way I behave in rehearsal, the mindset I have towards myself in relation to others, ect. It wasn't always glamorous, and there were many frustrating moments, but this was the most rewarding season I've had. This was the first time where I genuinely feel like I broke every barrier that I've encountered. This was also one of the most fun seasons I have had. Thank you Cincinnati Tradition.

We learn and we keep moving

Than you @mediabyhamza for the awesome photos

Once again I’ve been given the extraordinary chance to be a member of the Cincinnati Tradition Front Ensemble and it’s an experience I truly would never trade for anything else in the world, getting to grow alongside so many new people and some old I definitely left the season with plenty of new friends, Thank you to everyone in CT and I hope I get to see you all again someday🩵🩷

Achievement Unlocked: The End?

Every season has an ending and yet somehow one that only lasted a couple of months with these very specific people feels different. Somewhere between the weekend rehearsals, the exhaustion, the laughter, the late nights, the random outings, and standing on the field with people who started as strangers, we created a show that I will never forget. We spent so much time focusing on video assignments, the wrath of some of our instructors, trying not to let the heat get to us, and giving it our all every weekend that we never really realized we were creating the memories we’d eventually hope to relive. Joining Cincinnati Tradition was probably one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life when it came down to what I should do over the summer. This experience allowed me to create new friends that became my family for a summer as well as improve on my skills and become a stronger marimba player.

Now, CTP you can put your hands down as I wish everyone the best of luck if they chose to pursue a world class core, continue doing CT, or are pursuing a life outside of drum corps. Just know that I will support each and every one of you and I hope to see y’all again at some point in the future!

With much love,
Sophia King

okay yap session here we go

I wasn’t gonna make this a super complicated post but then I got bored and started decorating.

This journey has been great, and I’m happy to finally step back and appreciate the work that’s been done. None of this honestly couldn’t have happened without these individuals and I’m proud to call them my friends. Especially Evan, the one who encouraged me to get off my ass and do something for the summer. He was always there when needed and I’m happy to have marched with someone as supportive as him.

To CTP, you can put your hands down.

To those continuing their marching careers, I hope to see you on the field whether we’re in the race together, against one another or even as a spectator.

It’s okay to fall down and stumble, you just need the right people to build you up.

Anyways thats all for my dci career probably, i hate how humid it was.

The 2025 season has come to an end. We unfortunately have to say goodbye to our senior and center snare, Jace. This year was so fun and we as a percussion hope to have just as much fun next year with even more people than before!
