POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
At the beginning of every year I try to pick out a Bible verse or passage to stick to and really reflect on throughout the year. For 2025, back in January, I chose Psalm 37:7-9 which says, ā€œBe still before the LORD and wait patiently for Him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.ā€

If you know us and know our story you know this year has thrown us many curveballs that we weren’t expecting. If you would’ve asked me at the beginning of this year what my life would look like now I would have probably said that we’re still living in Florida and I’m in grad school for athletic training. Well, if you know what our lives look like now you know that is far from realityšŸ˜‚Earlier this year we had no idea what the future would look like for us, and in that, God gave us one of the biggest blessings we could have ever received because we were willing to say yes even if it wasn’t what we had planned. In the midst of all of the unforeseen things that happened this past year, we were patient, we were still, and we waited to hear from the LORD and where He was calling us to be. As I reflect on this year I am so thankful for everything that has happened, even if it was a little scary at the time and nothing like we had imagined. I am thankful for intentional friendships that have lasted through the trials we were put through. I am thankful for the new community we have built up here that I know we could rely on for anything. I’m thankful for family and friends who didn’t even hesitate to take care of us in the midst of chaos. I’m thankful that God blessed us with a beautiful baby boy who has already brought us so much light, peace, comfort, and love. And most importantly I’m thankful for the God-fearing man that l get to call my husband, protector, and provider. I’m thankful that I have a man that in the midst of chaos and uncertainty kept God at the center and trusted that the LORD would place us exactly where we needed to be.

So, to 2025, the year of growth, change, and new beginnings, I am so thankful for you and everything that has come because we said YES to where the LORD wanted us to go even in the midst of uncertainty.
