Tonight, Oasis Counseling for Women & Children dedicated The Garden of Hope. As a member of the Board of Directors, serving is my heart, and tonight it was personal.

Henry was my son’s childhood friend. I watched them grow from little boys to young men in caps and gowns. When Henry passed away, I wanted his name to live somewhere it could be seen and remembered. Together with the Vestavia squad parents, we made Henry’s brick pillar possible.

Standing with Henry’s family tonight, I was reminded that grief and love grow from the same soil.

Thank you, Vestavia squad parents, for your generosity, and everyone at Oasis for this beautiful space.

Henry, you are remembered. ❤️💙

Wow, and just like that, after 3 amazing years, my time in high school as a VHHS basketball manager has come to an end. Sad that my time doing this in high school is over, but couldn’t be more thankful for the opportunity given. To every teammate that I’ve had, I couldn’t be more thankful for every single one of you guys. To all of the Coaches, thank you guys for everything that you guys did for me. Thank you to the student section for cheering us on wherever we went, and making it even more fun to be there. To all of my fellow managers over the years, couldn’t be more thankful for all of you guys. To the photographers, thank you guys for doing your part to make everything look great and capturing the best moments. Thank you VH basketball, Big O out. ❤️💙✌️
