The true intellectual is, therefore, always an outsider, in self-imposed exile, and on the margins of society.

There are so many ways we could have raised funds for the SHAPE in Motion Dakar Mentorship Program, but we chose to do it together as a COMMUNITY! 🌍✨

Thank you to everyone who supported our inaugural Art Benefit at the Embassy of France. It was an incredible night of connection, art, and cultural exchange bringing together people from all walks of life.

A massive shoutout and thank you to all the featured artists who donated work, every volunteer who showed up for us, and the Embassy staff who ensured everything ran smoothly. 🤝🎨

Cheers to celebrating 2 years of SHAPE and to everything still to come! 🥂🛹

Life has been so crazy lately, but I finally had a chance to pause and reflect on our inaugural Art Benefit last Friday! It was a great success and an amazing way to celebrate 2 years of SHAPE. 🙌🏾🎉

Massive thank you to my amazing team of volunteers—some of whom were in weekly meetings with me since April planning this. Thank you to @franceindc for letting us host at their beautiful venue, and a big thanks to all our sponsors and supporters who partnered with us to make this vision a reality.

This post is just a few of the great photos @scrandom_bman captured of the evening.
We will be sending out a newsletter blast tomorrow announcing the final fundraising results from the auction and event, along with a link to view the full photo gallery. Head over to the @shapeskatefoundation website and hit the subscribe button at the bottom of the page to stay tapped in! 📩
