It truly was the best day of our lives and that’s thanks to the love that surrounded us. The day was so full of queer joy, acceptance, authenticity and pure celebration. Everything we could have asked for and everything Belladonis aims to create and express 🥰♥️

How do you even summarise 8 years of your life? I’m not sure, but here’s my attempt at an appreciation post ✨

In 2017 I moved to Amsterdam to study Fashion & Design at AMFI. Those four years + and my internship at Iris van Herpen were some of the hardest and most transformative of my life. But in the middle of all the stress and long days, I met the most incredible people. Friends who became like my family through laughter, love, late-night talks and shared chaos. I’m forever grateful for those bonds.

In 2020, after three years of long distance, Jeremy finally moved to Amsterdam. Being apart for so long strengthened our relationship and made us pros at communicating. Your support has carried me through everything, and I’m endlessly thankful for you my angel 🫶🏼

After graduating in 2021, I started my own company while also working at Stradivarius as a visual merchandiser. That chapter taught me so much about believing in myself and not being afraid to try something new in a country where I didn’t even speak the language. Closing my company in 2024 wasn’t a failure, just a reminder that passion projects shape us regardless of the outcome.

Craving a break from fashion, I joined Corporate Housing Factory as a reservations coordinator, a role that later grew into Reservations & Systems Coordinator. It’s what made me realise how much I enjoy working with IT and opened a whole new career direction. It truly became the best job I’ve ever had. My colleagues brought so much joy into every day and I’ll miss them deeply 🥹

And of course… the greatest gift Amsterdam gave us, our little fur baby Korvo. Our Dutch tekkel, our tiny family member, our everything 🐾🐶

Dankjewel, my beautiful Amsterdam - you’ll always have a big piece of my heart. You’re where I spent almost all of my twenties, started my adult life, found myself, and where our little family began. Thank you for all the memories and everything this chapter has given me 🇳🇱🌷❤️

@belladonis_oek , founded by @kerrx1 and @charlie_orrewing , is a drag costume business based in Central Manchester. Both Graduates of the fashion technology course at @mcrfashioninstitute , the couple turned their shared passion into a thriving business that has become a major player in the local scene. With notable commissions from the likes of @therealbanksie and @Sheisvil, as well as multiple appearances on @dragraceukbbc , Bella Donis has solidified its reputation.
Eager to merge their love for high fashion with their drag artistry, Bella Donis recently launched their Patroclus collection, which reimagines the story of Troy through a queer lens and pushes the boundaries of 3D printing in fashion textiles.

For the Krass Community Collection, Bella Donis contributes an adjustable top and pleated trousers, inspired by traditional adaptable garments, made from ‘Witch’s Protection’ and ‘Wickerman’ fabric. Their unique approach blends history, technology, and storytelling into striking fashion pieces.

"The War corset (1,2,5)
The War corset represents the Trojan war, with delicate prints showing the attack on troy and Achilles holding the body of his love Patroclus, with silk duping panels peeling away from the body and penetrated with arrow-like feathers. This piece is intentionally asymmetric to show the hero’s world thrown into chaos.

Achilles suit (3,4,6,7)
The Achilles suit represents Achilles in his prime before feeling the devastation of war, this piece is reminiscent of a wedding suit with golden quilted accents representing his shining and unsullied armour and the naive hope he has for the future and his search for glory."

Patroclus gown
Finally, The Patroclus Gown shows Patroclus after his death, with heavily beaded satin rope and silk flowing from the heart and embracing the body in a twist. Reminiscent of a wedding dress that has been stained by an untimely death. The 3D print echoes Achilles suit now with blood staining the once pure white.
