In a world vying your your every blink, my new video [of me audaciously offering myself to the masses], is here.

Join @seauxchill & I on YouTube tonight for its premierrrr ⚜️ or me on Patreon at 6:30p to chat in the 20m lead up.

Though literal riding this video may not have, I pray you all still feel the reminder and responsibility of fueling toward y/our pleasure and our collective ability to feel, even in times when & where it seems impossible.

This the final single off an album I promised myself I would compile back in 2014. 💿 For a long time, the project was called 5/3, More Than Magic, before changing this year to 1) from my lips, here as a prayer, then to 2) Give What Was Given, and now to its final grey-hairs-of-wisdom induced final title of [In Time, We Re-Member]. Why? B/c sometimes time is the holiest teacher, and truly, the sweetest currency we have. ⏳

In time, we re-member ourselves; what’s important; each other, and how to hold our lines of individuality.

In Time, We Re-Member who we are & how to become, cuz that is what we are coded to do as a species, and as humans. The more AI blends the generated with the real, the more I am secure in and grateful for my perfect humanity, and that of those who have shown me love me along the way. 💕

From the opening When You Say Live track ft. @ishensemble, to this 2nd to last track on the album, I pray the holy, human medicine in these songs is clear and that my beautiful accidents and years of costly but intentional studio time can become the sonic backdrop of your 2024– forever. These sonic gifts have truly kept me going since 2017, and fueled me to give and love even when nothing else in my world felt steady. 🎸

Friday, Nov 20, the medicine is released, and this winter becomes a time where you can sit with it, slow down with it, maybe join me for a release show or two, & just, be held by ✨words n feels that really had no choice but to come thru me [cuz they fr wouldn’t leave me alone! Lol.]

And so though ”america may have taught me how to forget, in time, i, and we, re-member.” That said, 🗳️🗳️ VOTE!

#Nov20

$The adventure by way of @humans_of_stl that continues to unfold itself across the vast expanse of my journey here is shaped like a kaleidoscope. Endless reflection. Infinite pattern. Fragments creating whole pictures. Colors unbound by shape. Animated by light. This thing has become for me, as ubiquitous as the Arch. I see it everywhere. Along hallways of grand institutions. On stages in community theater. In the offices of CEOs. In the waiting areas of coworking spaces. In the street murals in the hood that play the backdrop of children’s’ tellings. The book. The web stories. The images. The poems. All, “The Making[s] of Us,” give me pause, no matter how many times or where I see them. Thanks @lindy500 for not taking my “Nah, you got it.” for an answer 10ish years ago when you asked me to write the intro to this work. I had no idea that I was signing up to be a fractal in what feels like an infinite dimension of storytelling, of life-sharing, and of documenting the Humans of St. Louis. I’m so deeply proud of this work, and to be a reflection of all that is this beautiful city. Our walk down memory lane during STL Design Week (@stldesignweek) was such a sweet sitting. Thank you for the alley-oop, always. That kaleidoscope gets more stunning every turn we take. (And of course the Post script: For every story I want to tell about this book, there are at least 3 in the wings plus two more I may have forgotten about lol.) Peace to @kevin.de.miranda (who happened to be present photoging STLDW) for taking shots 😍📸. Last slide was Apple mix random shuffle pulling up the homie @jay.marie.is.holy ‘s 2020 song on the way home…the remix visuals for which Kevin shot over the summer and were released two days after this night. See? Kaleidoscope. 👌🏿$
