Year 1 ✅ - Year 2 incoming😤! Some of the stats from this year -6x All Americans (1 first team, 3 second team, 2 honorable mentions) -1x SEC Champions (women’s hammer) -Only SEC men’s throws program to score in every single throwing discipline -School record in ever ring throwing event -Multiple program top 5 performances -USA championship qualifier -Rhodes Scholar finalist -Uncountable amount of PRs I honestly just wanna take a moment and just say how thankful I am to be in the position I am. Waking up everyday excited to go to work isn’t something a lot of people have. But i knew i always wanted to be in this career field and every day feels like a blessing. Getting to learn from @sistaluvsoul and be working with her and soaking in her knowledge is a blessing. This year she let me come in and learn but also have a voice and impact on the group which most throws coaches wouldn’t do. Most roles as an assistant you sit shut up and follow. Coach April gave me an opportunity to be me and stand behind and beside her this year and from that i learned a lot. Mistakes and achievements throughout the year were so rewarding and educational. Overall i couldn’t be prouder of the athletes i got to work with, we saw PRs pretty much across the board and athletes grow and really develop into their own. I can’t say thank you enough to @hailstatetf @coach_c.woods for letting me come in and learn and be myself to help this group and team progress and develop. Also thank you to all the senior athletes and pro athlete who I only had the year with. You made the group and program and year so much better and you left an everlasting mark on my life so for that thank you @_kaylee.clark @_.iamtafada @remi_rgtt I’m so excited and ready to see how we continue on this path for Year 2!
