That wedgie is just too cute 😩

Onyx is 6months, yall. 🎉

I can't believe we have a 6month old already. 😳

Here’s his 6for6 :

• Ya boy is SOLID. He was just 16lbs at his 4mo appt. I’m sure he’s 20+ by now. 🏋🏾

• Milk is still his jam, but he does enjoy cinnamon applesauce, peas, yams, blueberries, his morning oatmeal medley + sucking a good chicken bone from time to time. 😋🦴 (He’s mostly bottle fed now but still asks for the boob occasionally.)

• He’s a professional roller + scooter. So, don’t turn your back…

• Thanks to the help of @pinkymckay1 sleep training tips, Onyx sleeps through the night like a champ. 💪🏿

• He’s WILD AF! God must’ve known my crack head tendencies would be perfect for a boy. 😵‍💫

• “Oh Baby, the Places You’ll Go” by Dr. Seuss + “Love You Forever” by Robert Munsch are his fav reads, so far.

*Bonus - he’s wearing PINK for the month of October because his MaMa @keyamichele is a #breastcancersurvivor. 🎀🎗+ it’s gone forever be #FOE🤘🏿🤘🏿

Mommy's Chocolatey Goodness - Onyx Milo 👶🏾🤎

I didn’t have plans on posting him today, but I woke up feeling like today’s the day to get back into the swing of things.

This little boy has taken over every aspect of my life & my first priority has been learning how to be his mom.

Onyx was born the afternoon of April 8, 2021 with his own birth plans, saying to hell with what Mommy envisioned 🤷🏾‍♂️. I should've known then that he'd be a fiery Aries who very well communicates his likes + dislikes. Including letting everyone know that he loves his mama + prefers to be in her arms. (How did I spoil my baby already, y'all? 😩) But, I've LOVED every bit of his personality these last two months.

To everyone who's checked in on us and sent well wishes, you mean more than you know.

My Grama, Mom, & Big Sisters (just missing my aunt & oldest sis).

Making sure I celebrate this year's Int'l Women's Day because my tribe of women have helped mold me to take on this new phase of my life. They're all mommies. I'm the last of the crew. (Btw, today makes 4 more weeks until I meet my sun.) 🥂Cheers to all the women who make shit happen, sacrifice for the bigger picture, and take care of themselves to selflessly take care of those around them. ✊🏿

My nieces and nephews have always been my "Why".

Since they were born, everything I did to better myself was always about them. I became a flight attendant so they'd be able to grow up & live a cultured life. When I went to school for my law degree (I dropped out, shit was too strict for ya girl) it was to be apart of actively changing the broken judicial system they're still being raised in and affected by. Maybe I'll go back one day. That chapter's definitely still being written.

My dream was to be the cool aunt with no kids who's out-of-town beach house they'd spend their summers in. 😎

They're still apart of my "why" & they'll still grow up spending summers with me digging in the sand & dancing freely by the moonlight. Only difference is they'll now have Onyx to keep them company. I can't wait for him to get in on all of this action & love we have to give. ♥️

Sadie Tanner Mossell (January 2, 1898 – November 1, 1989), was the first African-American woman to receive a Ph.D. (economics) in the United States, the first woman to receive a law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, and the first national president of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.

Alexander came from a distinguished Philadelphia family. Her uncle, Dr. Nathan Mossell, was a founder of the Frederick Douglass Hospital, Philadelphia's first African American hospital. Louise Tanner, her mother, was the daughter of African Methodist Episcopal Church Bishop Benjamin Tanner, founding editor of the nation's first African American scholarly journal, The African Methodist Episcopal Review. And her mother's brother was markerHenry O. Tanner, the famous American painter."My background," she later recalled, "prepared me to face opposition with strong determination to attain my goal but without spending time or energy on my rancor." She practiced as an attorney from 1927 to 1982. She was the first African-American woman appointed as Assistant City Solicitor for the City of Philadelphia. She and her husband were both active in civil rights, and in 1952 she was appointed to the city's Commission on Human Relations.

Finding it difficult to get work in Philadelphia, Mossell worked for the black-owned North Carolina Mutual Life Insurance Company in Durham, North Carolina for two years.

In 1923 after her marriage, Mossell returned to Philadelphia and entered law school. She was admitted to the bar, then she joined her husband's law practice, specializing in estate and family law. They both were active in civil rights law as well. Raymond Alexander was elected to the Philadelphia City Council.

Mossell Alexander worked in her husband's law firm from 1927 until 1959, when he was appointed to the Court of Common Pleas in Philadelphia. She practiced law on her own until 1976. That year she joined the firm of Atkinson, Myers, and Archie as a general counsel. She retired in 1982.

In 1928 she was the first African-American woman appointed as Assistant City Solicitor for the City of Philadelphia, serving to 1930. She was reappointed from 1934 to 1938.
