crawling out of my winter hole and finally managed to upload the recording of my set during the final closing of Mensch Meier/ @storkowerstrasse121 back in January & just feel like sharing it with you. (link in bio) this winter has been a truly cold season dominated by war, loss, dehumanization, denunciation, repression, shift to the right and internet madness, to say a few. all of this has left me mostly disillusioned and paralyzed, some days I wanted to scream it all out loud and others I was simply speechless and scared. I seriously hope that spring will bring some humanity back into the heart of society. in late January, we sadly had to say goodbye to Mensch Meier, one of Berlin’s last collectively organized leftist club spaces. it’s both devastating and ironic to lose this place at a time when alternative and independent venues in Berlin are more important than ever. it was really sth for me to be able to play on the main floor during the club`s final hours and to accompany all the dancers in saying goodbye to Mensch Meier. I have put all my many feelings at that time into the set and it turned out as an adventurous collage of the lots of different club music I love, many of my all time favorite vocals, loads of high energy and big emotions (or as my friends called it: advanced tik tok music for adults). I would be delighted if you give it a listen. have a wonderful spring transition! ceasefire now!
