I am amazed at my voiceover journey so far. I continue to make myself proud, year after year, as I grow in the entertainment industry.

When I first started, I was grateful to get an audition once a month. I've now won an award, voiced an Emmy-nominated project, spoken internationally, presented at awards shows, voiced major brands like Target, Fortune, Dove, Netflix, and Sprite-- as well as for hundreds of small businesses across the country.

This journey has been challenging, exciting and inspiring.
I keep that same grind and continue to strive for more.
Leslie O Voice is just getting started.

Allow us to RE-INTRODUCE Ourselves.

Dîner en Noir (#DEN) events are member-only, fully-curated, 3-part, black attire fine dining experiences held in secret locations in cities across the globe. #DEN's mission is to address the structural & financial inequities of arts programming, small business development, and health and wellness education in the vulnerable & under-served communities of our Host Cities.

We accomplish our mission by
◇ highlighting/promoting the talents of local artists
◇ utilizing the services/products of local small businesses & offering vendor & business partnership opportunities at #DEN Events
◇ bringing awareness to health and wellness issues & disparities directly affecting our communities.
◇ financially supporting front-line arts programming, small business development, and health awareness/delivery organizations in our Host Cities with our #DEN Community Awards

Part fully immersive dining event, part art & business networking opportunity, part health information resource, and part community fundraiser, #DEN Events are a chic and memorable way to support the local community.

Our updated mission better focuses on our core values and purpose, adapts to our external and internal environment, and better addresses the needs of the community in our Host Cities. We hope that our mission will inspire you and your tribe to join our events and motivate our stakeholders to become more involved in supporting us while communicating our unique value proposition and differentiation from the "other" event.

BE YOUR AUTHENTIC UNIQUE SELF!

After serving in the U.S. Army, then senior healthcare management at some of the area's top hospitals, and finally the federal government and having to conform to the status quo, there are a few things I've learned along the way.

Embracing your uniqueness can be a liberating experience that allows for personal growth and self-discovery. While I was never a "square", I absolutely tried not to "rock the boat" too much. I ALWAYS knew that thoughts about my race/culture, sexuality, and hair (when I started locking) and the expectations that surrounded them, were often based on outdated, flawed, or downright ignorant beliefs, and conforming to them only limited my potential. Instead, I strived to be true to myself and celebrate my differences.

Here are a few things to keep in mind when embracing your uniqueness:

◇ Don't be afraid to express yourself: Whether it's through your fashion choices, business ideas, hobbies, or beliefs, don't be afraid to show the world who you are.
◇ Never humble yourself to fit in: Your uniqueness is your superpower; act like it!
◇ Surround yourself with strong supportive people who get you: Having a support system will make it easier to embrace your uniqueness and feel confident in yourself.
◇ Don't be afraid to lose people: Not everyone will make the climb with you; some will lose oxygen. You will absolutely have to "Slow-Ghost" some folks (see @MichelleObama's #TheLightWeCarry).
◇ Focus on your strengths: Instead of trying to fit into a mold that doesn't suit you, focus on your strengths and what makes you unique.

Remember, being different is not a weakness, it's a strength. So embrace your uniqueness and let your light shine!

Now, go forth and be YOU!!!!
