POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Mei 1938.

Through luminous prose, Tiny Worlds invites us to consider what we might learn about connection, belonging, and repair by attending to the very small.

In Tiny Worlds, author Chelsea Steinauer-Scudder seeks a different way to grapple with the enormity of the changing natural world: by narrowing the lens, and gazing at familiar artifacts of home through a microscope. Chelsea examines curious objects from the natural world in the mountains of Vermont: Eastern Tiger Swallowtail Butterfly wing; Goldenrod pollen; Oak gall; Bluejay feather. She does this, she writes, because “The very small can remind us that we exist within limits, within constraints, within particular environments and communities and moments in time.”

#NewBookAlert Tiny Worlds: A Field Guide to Small Wonders by Chelsea Steinauer-Scudder @chelseasteinauerscudder is available for preorder now—releasing in May 2027.

Love to the team @simonbooks working this, especially fellow ambitious mother @cguiterman. Are we not all actresses living double lives? 🎭 more soon. X

📚✨ Welcome back to Austenland!

Some books make you laugh out loud, some are pure comfort, and some make you wish you could pack a suitcase and disappear into their world for a long weekend. For me, Shannon Hale's Austenland books are all three.

From awkward first impressions and swoony Regency roleplay to unexpected romance, witty banter, and now holiday magic, this series captures the joy of stepping into a Jane Austen fantasy while never forgetting the messy, complicated, and wonderfully human people at its heart.

What I've always loved most about Austenland isn't simply the romance. It's the celebration of hope, reinvention, friendship, and the courage required to open yourself to possibility, even when life hasn't gone according to plan. Revisiting Austenland and Midnight in Austenland before diving into Christmas in Austenland felt a bit like returning to an old favorite destination and discovering there was still more magic waiting around the next corner. 🏰🍂🎄

If you've ever wished you could spend a weekend inside a Jane Austen novel, this series might just be your dream vacation. 💕

👉 Exciting news for Austenites: If you have visited before, you are definitely going to want to come back for a new visit! Each of these books has been updated and revised with even more fun, signature Austenesque humor, and in-jokes to Austen's original stories. But for me, the standout addition is a considerable new section featuring Hale's personal notes and reminiscences from the making of the Austenland movie! 🎬🍿

Thank you so much to author Shannon Hale @squeetus @bloomsburybooksus and @uplitreads for including me on this beautiful tour and including all three gifted books to photograph! 🎀✨

💖QOTD💖 I know I would definitely visit Austenland, but what author deserves their own theme land for you to visit even if just for a short trip? Share your author and tell me what what you would HAVE TO DO wheike there do there to step into that world?
