This weekend was much bigger to me than just a golf tournament. It was a life accomplishment. It was my first tournament without my mom, it was a start of something new, and a chance to prove myself. This weekend I found a new sense of relief, calming, peace, and perseverance. Going into the tournament I obviously had my sights set on finishing towards the top of the leaderboard but more importantly wanted to make my mom, dad, the rest of my family, coaches, and others who have supported me proud. I want to praise my God for the strength he has given me through these hard times in my life and for the new beginnings he’s given me as well as the courage to continue striving for success every single day. I feel extremely blessed to be given the opportunity to play golf, accomplish mental milestones, a victory, and to have a great team around me. This weekend I never gave up, played true to myself, and knew my mom was watching me. Momma, I know you’re looking down on me so proud right now and of the man, athlete, and the son i’ve become because this is all for you. I love you momma❤️
