Have you ever tried a YELLOW watermelon?! 🍉💛
I found this sweet little surprise at a local farmers market on Brookshire Blvd. in Charlotte and of course… I had to try it! 😋

Fresh, juicy & naturally sweet — but was it worth it?! 👀🍉
Watch until the end for my honest reaction!

I stopped by my @khajeatl and @akuatl family over on Brookshire and picked up some fresh burdock root, and they even gave me some pointers on how to prepare it. Once I got home, I turned it into a full, nourishing meal—steamed with fresh garlic cloves, cactus, shiitake mushrooms, onions, bell peppers, and sweet peppers. The flavors came together beautifully, and it was absolutely delicious. Make sure you stop by and support my Brookshire family for fresh fruits, roots, and wholesome ingredients you can feel good about!
I know some of you are wondering what is burdock root and what is it good for….. Well here you go?
Burdock root is a good source of antioxidants, which are chemical compounds that help protect your cells from damage. And as an anti-inflammatory, burdock root may also help reduce your risk of chronic diseases, like diabetes, high blood pressure, arthritis and maybe even some cancers.
