Sometimes your flow leads you to create the experience you want to see at home. 💙

As co-founders of VI Crawl (@thevicrawl), filmmakers, and performing artists, Khalarni Rivers (@khalarni) and Nyaila Callwood (@nymadeit) have built a platform centered around connection, culture, and experiencing the Virgin Islands in a fresh way.

Through their work, they continuously infuse authentic Virgin Islands heritage into modern media and are currently bringing stories to life through the first installment of their groundbreaking Folklore to Film series. 🎬

They are part of a new generation of Virgin Islanders turning creative ideas into experiences that bring people together, encourage exploration, and preserve our stories through a contemporary lens.

For their creativity, entrepreneurial spirit, and dedication to building experiences rooted in the Virgin Islands, we honor Nyaila Callwood and Khalarni Rivers as our 2026 Rising Stars Honorees.

Connect with these visionaries and so many others at our 10th Anniversary Creative Retreat on Oct 17-18 at Long Bay Beach Resort. 🌀🌴🌊

INT. WISTUDIOS - DAY

NYAILA sits peacefully, yet nervously in front of the camera as she poses for her first *real* solo photoshoot. In the room stands her film fam Khalarni, Leah & Keano, gracefully guiding her. She pauses…

“How blessed I am to live in my passion.” 😌

The camera snaps.

#LongStoryShort: @bvilitfest was a beautiful display of connection in culture, and a celebration of Caribbean art. I’m honored to have been invited.

Im finally sitting to sort through the photos and notes I took in my journal. This trip was everything and then some. Connecting with writers throughout the diaspora was a beautiful experience.

The works I got to experience were mesmerizing. I left Tortola feeling grounded and reinvigorated. I’m determined to keep growing, and im excited about all the new people I get to support along the way ☺️

✨ What a finale ✨

Our Cocktails & Conversations season finale had another full house, filled with laughter, vision, and the creative energy that fuels the VI Renaissance. 🔥

From beauty and wellness pros to artists and entrepreneurs, we celebrated the people shaping how Virgin Islanders see themselves and each other. 🌱✨

Much love to our dynamic event leads Tricia Homer (@speakleadchange)& Eric Grims (@grimsy) 🌟, to our grounding guide Trevonne Homer(@askahomer) 🌱 our host 81C (@81cvi), and to our pop up features — Glambox VI (@glamboxvi_)✨, Sugar & Silk VI 🥘, Nikki Henna 🧡

We’re taking a short break and coming back even bigger in January! Until then, keep building the VI creative economy — one conversation, one collaboration and one breakthrough at a time. 🥂
