Have we actually found a fix to the problem, or have we just found another way to push ourselves to exhaustion?

Staying busy, working harder, and trying to carry everything ourselves might distract us from the weight, but it doesn’t remove it.

The true fix is giving it to God.

And if you’re anything like us, you’re not going to figure out what that really means unless you’re in the Word and actively pursuing a relationship with the Creator.

Stop trying to carry alone what was meant to be given to Him.

The whole point of forgiveness…

It’s human nature to fall short. We’re going to stumble, make mistakes, and sin. We can’t make it through this life on our own.

That’s why we need God’s grace. We need His forgiveness.

We really opened up about some heavy topics on this one.

We had a great time, shared some laughs, but also talked about the darker side of the job that doesn’t always get discussed. We’ve both struggled. We’ve both made mistakes. But we’ve also learned from those mistakes and found better ways to carry the weight.

Sometimes the most important thing you can do is be willing to talk about it.

And as always, if you ever need anything, reach out. You don’t have to carry it alone.

Brought this back from the dead. Heavily worn, rusted and pitted it came back pretty good overall.
Nickel and copper plated with custom Walnut grips. I was going to engrave the wood grips but that plain walnut just classes it up.
Sometimes a little less is more.

Did a remote viewer actually see the Ark of the Covenant during an FBI interview?!

It’s a wild claim and one that definitely sent us down the rabbit hole.

What do you think? Possible, or completely out there?

A good friend and the Bible. What else could a man need?

Sometimes the best conversations are the simplest ones: good company, an open Bible, and a willingness to talk about what really matters.

The worst thing you’ve ever dealt with is the worst thing you’ve ever dealt with.

Trauma isn’t a competition. What weighs heavily on one person may look completely different for someone else. In law enforcement, we’re exposed to things most people will never see, but that doesn’t mean we all process those experiences the same way.

Finding healthy ways to deal with what you carry is key. Talk about it. Lean on the people you trust. Find productive outlets. Take care of yourself so you can continue taking care of others.

The weight may be different for everyone, but nobody has to pretend it isn’t heavy.

Take everything with a grain of salt.

When something sounds crazy, don’t just accept it at face value. Dig deeper, do your own research, look at the facts, and come to your own conclusions.

Think critically. Ask questions. Don’t let someone else do your thinking for you.
