Dear Black Men,

We need each other now more than ever.
For too long, many of us have carried the weight of our struggles in silence—pushing through pain, stress, trauma, and expectations that were never meant to be shouldered alone. But the truth is this: you are not alone, and you were never meant to do life by yourself.

It’s time we start having deeper, more honest, more healing conversations with one another—conversations centered around our mental health, our emotions, our fears, and our victories. Being “our brother’s keeper” means checking in, showing up, and holding space for one another in real, meaningful ways.

There is strength in vulnerability.
There is power in community.
There is healing in connection.

Let’s start embracing the resources that help us breathe again—therapy, meditation, yoga, sound baths, breathwork, community circles, journaling, and intentional rest. These practices are not signs of weakness; they’re tools of survival, elevation, and liberation.

As Black men, we deserve peace. We deserve clarity. We deserve support. And together, we can build a culture where mental wellness is not only normalized but celebrated.
We rise higher when we rise together.

Before you scroll…

I challenge you to do two things this week:
1 Share this note with other Black Men
2 Call 5 Black men you know and have a real conversation—one centered around their mental state, how they’re really feeling, and what support they need.
Healing starts with us.
It starts today.
It starts with one conversation.

With love, respect, & solidarity-
Your Brother

#BlackAugust A discipline. A practice. A remembering.

Throughout August it was my honor to STUDY. FAST. TRAIN. RESIST. alongside my comrades in the BYP100 National Chapter.

At BYP100, our work is rooted in building radical Black futures through political education, healing justice, and collective care. We move with the understanding that liberation is not an individual act, but a communal commitment.

If you feel called to this work, I invite you to take a first step. Join us at our upcoming New Member Orientation.

Come learn what it means to organize with BYP100, to build power with Black queer feminists at the center, and to continue the work for freedom.

Black August reminded me that our resistance is alive. Our movement is alive. We are alive.

Straight from my mind to your timeline. Super Soul Sunday edition. ⬇️

Bro, healing is a continuous journey. As you heal, you discover other areas to heal. One opens the door for the other. And that’s perfectly normal and ok.

In life, we are born to experience the fun, the joy, and the challenges. We came for it all. Pause and embrace that.

While there are specific areas in our lives where we heal, in the midst of other challenges, a new light is shed and gives a new perspective to continue healing in areas we may had not been aware of. It’s ok. Embrace that too.

The beauty of life is that you can be healed and healing at the same time. ✨
