The Summit is powered by people who believe in creating opportunities for others.

Hear from Katelyn Huff, one of this year’s Leadership Summit volunteers, on how serving became an opportunity to build meaningful relationships, gain valuable experience, and be part of something bigger than herself.

This is what intentional community looks like.

Big conversations. Bigger perspective. 💭🏈

Kelvin Beachum joined DT Cares for a powerful More Than An Athlete fireside chat, sharing insights on discipline, leadership, and the importance of building an identity beyond sports. From mastering the habits that require no talent to understanding the value of networking with intention, the conversation pushed our students to think bigger about their future.

Moments like this expand what young athletes believe is possible, on the field or court, in the classroom, and in the ventures they pursue beyond the game.

Mentees and mentors left motivated, connected, and inspired to take action in the next chapter of their journey.

🚀 Introducing the DT Cares 2025–2026 “More Than An Athlete” Cohort! 🙌🏽

Year 3. Bigger impact. Deeper purpose. Stronger community.

We are honored to welcome our newest class of exceptional scholar-athletes into our third official MTA cohort.

Each young leader was hand-selected not just for their talent on the field, court, or track, but for their character, potential, and commitment to becoming more than an athlete.

This year’s cohort represents the next generation of thinkers, doers, creatives, and changemakers, students ready to grow, lead, and break generational ceilings.

What makes this year truly special?

✨ The caliber of mentors walking alongside them.

Our 2025–2026 mentors include Division I-III graduates, Ivy League student-athletes, and high-character leaders who have walked this path and now choose to pour into the next generation.

Their lived experiences, networks, and heart for service turn this program into a bridge to opportunity, healing, and purpose.

At @dt.cares, impact flows both ways:

💡 Mentees gain exposure, confidence, community, and a blueprint for life beyond sports.

💡 Mentors gain fulfillment, leadership growth, and the chance to be who they needed growing up.

Program Pillars ✨

• College & career readiness
• Leadership development & identity-building
• Professional exposure & networks
• Purpose-driven mentorship
• Community service & growth projects

As we enter the season of generosity and community giving, we’re reminded that programs like More Than An Athlete exist because of the people who believe in this mission.

Your support helps us create opportunities, build leaders, and ensure that every young person in this program feels seen, supported, and guided.

To our mentors, donors, and community partners, thank you. Your investment changes lives in real time.

Here’s to a powerful 2025–2026 cohort.
More growth. More unity. More purpose.
More than an athlete. 🖤🔥

Glamsgiving Recap🍁: Last Thursday, we had our first general body meeting “Glamsgiving” where we introduced Beauty Collective and enriched our knowledge of beauty with some activities. We explored undertones and how to apply them to our makeup choices. Then explored contrast to analyze eyebrow and lash choices. Members also learned their seasonal colors with our color analysis kit and ended off with Thank You cards to incorporate the holiday. This fall break we wish you all the best and we hope to see you at our next event: December 10th, Canvas Boards + Movie☃️. Stay tuned!
