I was so blessed to have an amazing reunion this week with 3 of the most special, caring, passionate, dedicated, supportive, inspirational, and truly GREATEST athletes from our University of San Francisco Women’s Basketball family and our Seattle Storm family! I’ve known Abby Rathbun and Marina Hernandez since their time playing on the Hilltop at USF and I met Awa Fam, our amazing #3 WNBA Draft Pick and one of the most talented young athletes in the WNBA, when she joined our Storm family from Spain! The most special part and such a blessing is that Marina is best of friends with Awa from their time in Spain and she came to Seattle this past week to be reunited with Awa and support her at our Storm games!

I’ll always cherish the smiles, special friendships, and amazing memories together with Abby, Marina, and all of their awesome teammates at USF! It is such a blessing to work with Abby now and see her make such a positive impact with our Storm family as our Coordinator of Premium Hospitality! Marina just graduated from USF…I’m so proud of her and I know she is going to have a great career ahead and make such a positive impact in so many lives just like she did at USF! Awa is a definitely a blessing to our Storm family! It has been so special to see her smiling with her amazing teammates and dominating on the court together! There is no doubt that Awa is going to help lead our Storm family to many victories and WNBA Championships in her great career ahead! I know the greatest memories ever are ahead for these three very inspirational women! ABBY, AWA, and MARINA…I’m so proud and blessed to know all of you! Keep smiling, keep working hard, keep following the amazing passion in your hearts doing what you love, and keep showing everyone why you are…UNSTOPPABLE! GO USF! GO STORM! 💚🏀💛🏆

I’ve been so blessed to work with and support some of the most special, caring, passionate, dedicated, loyal, supportive, inspirational, and truly GREATEST athletes in NCAA and WNBA history during my career in college and professional athletics! There have been some athletes that love their teammates so much and are always there to support them, even after their playing careers…they are special role models and the type of teammate and friend that anyone would be blessed to have because they are always there to support you and make you smile, especially on any tough days! Marina Hernandez is definitely one of those amazing teammates and friends! She always makes everyone smile! After playing for our University of San Francisco Women’s Basketball family, Marina has been behind our USF bench all season supporting her former teammates! She is the President of the Paula Tirado Fan Club and wears a t-shirt supporting her amazing teammate and friend at our games too! It was so special seeing Marina smiling and sitting behind our USF bench when i was back home on the Hilltop for games this season and at Santa Clara together last week! We were both cheering loud supporting our team and yelling at the referees together too! I couldn’t be at our WCC Tournament games in Las Vegas because I have a herniated disc in my back…but I was smiling through the pain watching online and seeing Marina behind our bench supporting our amazing USF Women’s Basketball family! Since today is International Women’s Day, I thought it was the perfect day to thank Marina for caring so much, for making everyone smile, and for the positive impact she makes in so many lives, including mine!

MARINA! I’m so blessed to know you and so proud that you will always be a very special part of our USF Women’s Basketball family! Thank you for all the smiles, for always caring so much, and for always being there for your teammates and friends! Keep smiling, keep following the amazing passion and love in your heart, keep making a positive impact in so many lives, and keep showing everyone why…YOU’RE THE GREATEST! You are truly UNSTOPPABLE in everything you do! GO MARINA! GO USF! 😇💚🏀💛❤️

YES!! I’m so happy and fired up! After crushing Gonzaga back home on the Hilltop last week for our first WCC Home Win to officially start the Road to our 2025 WCC Championship…our University of San Francisco Women’s Basketball family traveled to Loyola Marymount and dominated against the Lions for our first of many WCC Road Wins…85-73! We battled and believed together, played with USF Passion, Pride, and Heart for 40 minutes in both home games, dominated on defense, and beat UC Santa Barbara…59-37…for the first win of our championship season and beat Portland State….62-56…for our second great win!
