Can’t believe it’s been five years.

I can’t even begin to describe how important you’ve been in my life.

Each day I’m just trying to keep up you:

Kianti.

A name as fine as wine.

You inspire me to get better each day.

For five years I’ve watched you overcome life’s challenges and achieve great feats.

Everything I have is because of you.

Your tenacity, drive, discipline, ambition, and courage is beyond admirable. You’re the epitome of a go-getter, the embodiment of someone who puts their money their mouth is.

You don’t just talk.

You DO.

And you have no intention of slowing down.

You’re the most honest person I know, and excuses are beyond you.

When I ask “Why?” you respond “Why not?”

When I say “But,” you say “But nothing.”

When I set deadlines you have me shorten them.

When my head is in the clouds you bring me back down to earth.

When I’m frazzled you make sure I focus on what truly matters.

You’re gorgeous, but you’re also so much more.

One of the best things about you is that you can’t be contained.

You can’t be boxed, labeled, categorized or pigeon-holed.

You’re spontaneous. You’re multidimensional.

You keep me on my toes.

You’re fierce and kind, hard and soft, mature and silly, stoic and empathetic, introverted and extroverted.

And you’re caring. So caring. So sweet and loving.

That’s my favorite part about you:

At the center of everything you do, you do it for love.

You do it for family. You do it for community.

You look out for the little guy, you speak for the voiceless, you have the courage to say what everyone is thinking, and you don’t want to see anyone in pain.

You don’t understand why the world has to be so cruel because you’re so good.

You take on the struggle so the people you love don’t have to.

But you don’t have to do it alone.

Because I’m right here with you, and I’ll always be.

You’re the love of my life. I’ll spend whatever time I have left on this Earth showing you that daily.

With you, life feels meaningful, fulfilling, purposeful.

You’re my rock. You’re my better whole.

I’m excited for what the future has in store for us.
