AANA Boston 2026 ✨

Hopefully my last conference as a student, and what a fulfilling experience it was. I had the opportunity to meet and learn from so many influential members of our profession while continuing to grow my knowledge and depth as a clinician.

The memories, conversations, and experiences from this week are something I will never take for granted. I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to attend and to be surrounded by such a supportive, inspiring community of nurse anesthesia professionals.

A full weekend at AANA leaving with a very full heart. Grateful for all the experiences and memories made for a lifetime. Being able to meet and hear so many individuals stories really gave me the encouragement to see the light at the end of the tunnel. The conference was full of clinical pearls between exhibitors and presentations that I can transition into my training. Extra kudos to the two knuckleheads that stayed with me and rode 10hrs in a car to Nashville! #aana2025 #aana2025congress

Year 1 in the books! 🎉
This semester was packed with milestones from SIM lab intensity to way too many assessments on poor Jess 😅, and locking in DNP project partners. Outside of school, life stayed full: camping adventures, new tattoos, dance classes, tons of broadway tunes, incredible shows, and lots of quality time with family and my amazing partner.

I am honored to announce my acceptance to the University of Tulsa’s Doctorate of Nursing Practice in Nurse Anesthesia program!

I honestly believe God has been calling me into this field my whole life. I still remember sitting on the floor with a dictionary in 5th grade looking up the word ‘anesthesiologist’ to write a paper on what I wanted to be when I grew up.

The next 3 years will be incredibly challenging for both me and my family, but I have no doubt that we will succeed. I was made for this!!" @kiarra.reed

Our first VBS!! @made.x.honeybee and I were tasked with decorations. She had the vision. I executed. We make a pretty good team and we are SO thankful to everyone who helped us along the way! Late nights at the church were worth it to see how excited everyone was to come back each day. #swipeleft @kiarra.reed - These past four years have been without a doubt the hardest years of my life. I’m sure no one would’ve blamed me for giving up, but I knew I couldn’t even though I desperately wanted to so many times. God would always intervene every time I tried. The pain, the stress, the exhaustion, all the tears were all worth it to bring God glory and make Robert and Lincoln proud.
I’m so blessed to announce I officially PASSED my NCLEX, and I am now a Registered Nurse! I cannot thank God enough for giving me the strength to make it through this journey. Robert, Mom, Dad, and everyone else who’s encouraged me along the way, I am so thankful for you.
I will be starting my nursing career in the specialty of my dreams. I accepted a position in the Saint Francis Trauma Emergency Center here in Tulsa, and I will finally be an ER Nurse!!! Now allow me to reintroduce myself- Kiarra Reed, BSN, RN
