Omar works at a fund that backed a company 3D-printing rockets. Your startup has some competition! He joined Valia Ventures as an Analyst in 2019, became an Associate in 2021, and has been a Principal since December 2024. Seven years, one firm, three titles. In an industry where people switch logos like phone cases, that kind of staying power says a lot about both Omar and Valia. Loyalty instincts: confirmed! Before venture, he graduated Summa Cum Laude in Business Administration from Boston University. So yes, he did the reading. All of it! Valia is an early-stage firm with offices in New York, San Francisco, and London, backing technically ambitious founders in sectors many generalist funds call “too complex”: AI, hardtech, robotics, healthcare, biotech, and fintech. The portfolio includes Humane, Relativity Space, and Selfbook. Since 2023, Omar has also mentored founders at Techstars in New York. He’s seen your pitch from both sides of the table: the one where he coaches it, and the one where he decides on it. If you’re an early-stage founder building something technically ambitious, Omar is someone you want to know. If you’re an investor, he’s a great person to compare notes with. And if you’re at Demo Day, now you know whom to look for. Register to pitch online: https://tally.so/r/LZ0BoO Register to watch online: https://luma.com/6qhid53a

Most people put a lawn care business on their résumé as a fun fact. Hani Azzam put one on his résumé, served 50+ properties around Greater Boston, and sold it to another Boston landscaping company. Founder instincts: confirmed. Since then, the résumé has gotten considerably more interesting. Hani went from running operations and customer experience at Freebird to product management at Capital One after the acquisition. From there, he moved to Silicon Valley Bank, connecting early-stage New England startups with capital, commercial partners, and talent. Along the way, he became a Venture Partner at Plus VC, backing founders from the MENA diaspora, and founded Viaka, an angel syndicate and ecosystem for MENA’s global community of startup builders, investors, and operators. Today, he’s a Partner at PROPPELLER in Boston, working on Propeller III. The focus is exclusively software startups building horizontal AI infrastructure and AI-native applications. No tourism in the rest of the tech stack. Just AI, and the people building it. He also speaks Arabic, English, and French natively, so he probably understands your pitch deck in three languages. Spanish is a work in progress. If you’re an early-stage founder building in AI, Hani is someone you want to know. If you’re an investor, he’s a great person to compare notes with. And if you’re at Demo Day, now you know who to look for. Join us at the Dealfuze UK Demo Day : dealfuze.io Register on Luma: https://luma.com/6qhid53a

Silicon Valley won't shut up about the 19-year-old who built a billion-dollar company between lectures. Twitch, Dropbox, Facebook, Dell. All shipped from dorm rooms by kids who should have been revising for exams. The UK grows the same brains. Then it politely trains them to apply for a grad scheme. Kickstart Global found that embarrassing enough to do something about it. The UK's first cross-university student accelerator, dragging the sharpest student founders out of MedTech, FinTech, SaaS and B2B before a consultancy buys their soul for a signing bonus. We're teaming up with them for the Dealfuze Online Demo Day. What that means: -Their founders get a stage and a room of investors who actually write cheques. -You get a first look at a founder pool most funds won't see until it's already too expensive. Applications are open. If you've been hiding a company behind the words "side project," consider this your intervention. 👉 www.dealfuze.io/ukdemo Event Link: https://luma.com/6qhid53a

This weekend at H1 in London 💛 Hundreds of people came together — and the energy really showed what the startup ecosystem can be when people connect with intention. So nice to be there with @halkinoffices and communities like @kickstartglobal_ , @imperialentrepreneurs, and more. Founders pitching, ideas being shared, real conversations happening all day. Lots of interesting people building in AI too — excited for what’s next ✨ More to come. #GirlsWhoML #Startups #LondonTech #womeninai
