After 4 kids, I’ve learned that more stuff doesn’t always mean easier.

Here’s what my girls ate all day:

For breakfast, they enjoyed a nutritious meal consisting of yogurt topped with hemp seeds, avocado drizzled with lemon juice and a pinch of salt, and scrambled eggs sprinkled with Parmesan cheese.

At lunchtime, they indulged in homemade meatballs served with wholesome buckwheat, accompanied by a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables.

As a post-school treat, they relished healthy sweet potato pancakes, adding a delightful twist to their afternoon snack.

For dinner, they savored Chicken Gharam Masala, showcasing their adventurous taste buds and appreciation for flavorful dishes.

To end their meal on a sweet note, they delighted in special May basket cookies, adding a touch of whimsy to their dessert time.

Throughout the day, they enjoyed additional snacks such as fruits and vegetables, ensuring they received a balanced and satisfying diet.

☀️ What my toddler eats in a day ☀️ 1) Homemade French toast sticks with fruit & organic maple syrup (just 1 ingredient 👍🏻!) 2) 🍑 and 🍉- super hydrating fruits which were a must for this extra 💯 humid day 🥵 3) We’ve been loving this combo of @sietefoods almond flour wrap with cheese and deli meats (choose cleaner options when available/possible - shown here is nitrate free @applegate ham & @truestoryfoods turkey) 4) Grassfed AND finished (the best of the best 🐄) @butcher_box ground beef with zero sugar added tomato sauce, organic pasta & @traderjoes cauliflower gnocchi 🍝 ***- If your baby’s low in iron (medical term: iron deficiency anemia 🩸) something I’ve learned over the last year is to pair foods highest in iron (in this case, red meat) with foods/juices highest in vitamin c (in this case, tomato sauce). Pairing iron with vitamin C 🍊 exponentially increases the body’s absorption of iron 💪 With professional medical advice, we have been able to successfully treat #irondeficiencyanemia in our baby, now toddler, a very common condition in young children. When first finding out about this almost exactly a year ago, I was very overwhelmed with the news and what to do, so if you happen to fall upon this because you too are in the same shoes, please comment or message me, as we are now on the other side of it and so much was learned along the way!
