We had such a blast making the “crowd sourced stanza” this week with Grum artist @kieljohnson . The 151 letters have been made and now it’s time to string them to be hung in their new home: the Cain Atheltic Center. ✂️

Here’s a little glimpse into my creative process and the way I build links and connections into my work and also have creative conversations with art that other people have made in the past, present, and perhaps the future. It’s full of little treasures for you to click on and maybe start your own research adventure!

a mid sommer dream ~ the invitation to commune with apricot ~ my heart found a new love and appreciation for this golden apple this season ~ i often stayed away from it for i only came across dry & spongy kinds in the past ~ leaving me disheartened by this magical fruit ~ however this year ~~~~~ it revealed its gifts to me ~ firm sweet supple ~ juicy ~ the first farm that where i rediscovered joy in one bite was from @peaches.la aka tenerelli farms ~ their summer harvest was early, short & sweet ~ thennnn the invitation to meet a special tree on a small private farm three hours north of the LA basin ~ tended in collaboration with their bees on the land ~ this one tree ~ downloaded such sweet wisdom through its low hanging fruit ~ communion with this fruit told me the importance of honoring the slow pace ~ each step takes the time that it takes ~ communing ~ a gentle potent reminder & medicine of how it returns us to our own nature within ~ memories created ~ creating with apricot ~ naturally decadent, beautiful, rich, joyous, delicate it is ~ and so are we ~ i was curious, so i looked up what others had to say about this magical fruit and much of what i felt through the direct transmission of this summer delight was reflected back to me dating back to ancient grecian times & pagan practices ~ it’s funny how summertime encourages to be out extroverted with the sun ~ yet the celestial bodies above & all around were pinging extra duty codes of deeeeep internal transform transform transform exclamation ~ contrast & contradiction is the real feel as we have passed through the lune of cancer, cosmic baskets, retro-whaaaaa, and then sum ~ hello leo leoness sol ~ the denseness of a la summer rises ~ cusp of the eclipse season ~ facing towards the lionheart gateways and new portals to step through ~ fire season has started early in the pnw ~ prayers up for the lands & humans that they will contain & prevail ~ prayers up for each individual heart that is feeling the discomfort of transformation ~ body mind soul ~ we are all feeling the burn somehow ~ whether we in it or holding the line ~ facing vulnerability ~ letting it shine ~ loving unconditionally ~ Amene ~ Ashe ~

Whittier Narrows — Day One is in the books.
What a day. Kids, parents, grandparents, soccer fans, artists, and curious passersby all stopped to make something together. Watching ideas come to life around the tables never gets old.
France moves on, though I was quietly pulling for Morocco. That’s the beauty of it—great matches, great people, and a whole lot of creativity.
We’ll be back tomorrow and Saturday. Come make something with us. ⚽🎨✨Probably a good idea
