'I took this photo of little Katelyn last year when I was working at Claraville Station near Croydon, Queensland. Katelyn's family are from Prairie, Queensland, and ran the contracting crew at Claraville with their business, Butcher Contracting. She had only just turned six when this was taken and is already such an awesome little ringer. This girl is fearless on horses, ponies, bikes – you name it. She will give everything a go and is so switched on for her age. It's honestly like she was born to do this.

Also that day,I was lucky enough to go up in the chopper as the crew were joining up two mobs of cattle on the airstrip just before yarding up. The whole mob was about 1500 head, and it was my second time in a chopper, but my first time with the camera. I was super nervous that I wasn’t going to get a good shot!

I’m originally from the United Kingdom and I met my partner over here while I was working at the pub in Croydon. He was working on a local cattle station at the time. The rest is history really – we have been joined at the hip ever since, living on cattle stations together for the last few years. I did my first muster in 2019, worked as a nanny on a station in 2020, and this year my partner and I are looking after a place on our own. My life has changed so much. I've gone from living in the biggest town in England to living on a place where my mail comes once a week on a plane!

One thing I have learnt from living so remotely is how much we take for granted in the city. I get so excited now about the little things when I go to town now, like ordering a coffee or eating out. It wasn't easy at first getting used to this lifestyle, but I love it now and I'm pretty proud of myself!'

I been wanting to get a photo of this old Landcruiser for ages but I’ve been waiting on a nice sunset. Well thank goodness I did because last nights sunset was INSANE 😍.

I looked out the window and literally ran out the door with my camera 📸 .
