It’s hard to believe it’s been one month since I left camp!! My summer spent at JCreek was nothing short of incredible. It truly is the hardest job you’ll ever love. I’m forever grateful for the friendships, the memories, the endless laughs, and smiles that came from this summer!! I love you Crossings!!

John 5:24 “Truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.”

Servant: a person who is hired to do jobs for another person, a worker for the government, or someone devoted to a cause.

A simple definition cannot describe what it truly means to be a servant for Christ. Wearing this on the back of my shirt for 80 days has changed that dictionary definition for me.

This summer serving at Crossings has completely changed my life. Preaching the Gospel to thousands of students every week, while still preaching it to myself. I learned what it truly meant to serve others, as I would serve Christ. Whether that be in a small group, scrubbing toilets, tubing, or wiping down tables for what seems like eternity, it was all for the furthering of the kingdom of heaven.

Jesus came to earth not to be served, but to SERVE. Living a perfect life for 33 years, not sinning once, but still taking our punishment for sin (Romans 6:23) suffering and dying on the cross, rising from the dead three days later, defeating death. Doing all of this with JOY (Hebrews 12:2). Why would I not dedicate my life to serving HIM!

I’m so incredibly grateful for this experience. It was truly the hardest job you will ever love. Praise God for this opportunity and for the lifelong friendships I have made along the way!

Praise God for imperfect souls who poured themselves out to glorify and proclaim the Gospel to students who wanted to know more about the perfect God who sent his perfect son to die for them!
