Trends come and go, but a beautifully designed bob? Timeless.

Before I tell you when I created this one, take a guess. 👀
What year would you say?

New Hair…who dis?

Are thin brows making a comeback… or are we still healing from the early 2000s? 😅

My daughter asked for thinner brows the other day and I had a full flashback to the over-plucking era.

Now I’m seeing more sleek, sculpted brows instead of the super fluffy look.

So tell me…

💅🏾✨ Yesterday was hair & nails day for Camille, and my heart is still overflowing with gratitude to God.

When I first learned I was pregnant, I prayed for a girl. And the day I found out I was having a girl? I ran straight to Lord & Taylor and bought all the pink outfits. 💕 I was planning to be the ultimate girl mom, bows, dresses, shopping days, all of the things 🩷.

Then came the autism diagnosis.

And if I’m being honest… I feared my girl-mom dream was over.

But GOD.

Yesterday, as Camille sat so peacefully getting her mani and pedi, a sweet woman came over and gently asked if she was on the spectrum. I proudly said yes. 💙 She shared she’s an ABA therapist and told me how amazed she was at how calmly Camille was sitting, knowing how difficult that can be for so many children on the spectrum. Then she noticed Camille’s braided hair and was just as surprised.

It took me back to the early days when hair time was HARD. I remember @kierstenjoel @kiersten.and.co and @donyonna29 encouraging me, “Bring her anyway… she’s a girl, and she deserves this experience.” And yesterday felt like God whispering to my heart, “Your girl-mom dream isn’t over. It just looks different, and it’s still beautiful.”

What I once feared, God redeemed.
What felt impossible, God made possible.
His grace has carried us every step of the way.

I’m still a girl mom.
Just walking a faith-filled, purpose-driven version of it. 💗

So incredibly proud of my Camille.

Summer nights hit different when your girl gang is tight, the drinks are cold, and the vibes are hotter than the weather. 💅🏾✨
We rest. We replenish. We hype each other like Beyoncé dropped a new album.
Friendship like this? Can’t buy it, can’t fake it. Grateful for my friends. 💋 #MareNights #GirlsJustWannaHaveSun #SoftLifeSisterhood
