I don’t even know where to begin on this one 😭

As an artist you get used to your work speaking for itself, to be on a stage verbally performing my poetry was petrifyinggg. Needless to say I did it anyways! Cried on stage, was nonverbal for the rest of the night, baby steps I guess…

Thank you soooo much to @tecasso_ and @marcbrav0 for the opportunity and for giving me the confidence to at least try! Thank you to @trash_barz for the great vibes and authenticity you guys provided 😊💖

BIG BIG thank you to everyone who was in the audience and enjoyed my performance despite the lack of stage presence 😭

Episode 1 of Beyond Sparta!!

I just want to take a moment to thank @mo.no.e again for the opportunity because it was a great experience. She was so kind from the jump, and even when things didn’t go as expected she pivoted! It was sooo nice meeting everyone and networking.

Hopefully I don’t sound too insane because I lost my voice sometime this weekend enjoying Baltimore Carnival 😂😂😂

Allow me to reintroduce myself,

I am becoming a woman the way art becomes itself: layer by layer, mistake by mistake, grace brushing over everything. My body learning softness, my voice learning weight, my spirit stretching toward something eternal while my feet remain planted in this human soil. I tell my story in colors, in words that ache and bloom, in the space between what I say and what I’m still learning to name.

I am art. still wet, still shifting, still asking questions I don’t have answers to.

But I am also chosen, held, seen beyond what I can create.

And if you look closely, past the chaos, past the undone edges

you’ll find a girl meeting herself for the first time, guided gently into the woman she is becoming.

This page will be the phenotypical embodiment of this becoming through every form of my expressions.
