TENNESSEE BETAS!! Convention is officially ONE MONTH away! In honor of that, here’s a little look back at the last 7 years of my Beta journey! From my very first Beta memories to where I am today, every moment has played a part in shaping who I am and why I’m ready to give back to the organization that has given me so much. 💙

ABC, it’s easy as 1, 2, 3… VOTE HARPER G FOR VP!

My very first Beta convention was during COVID! Although State Convention had to be held virtually, I was fortunate enough to attend Nationals in Orlando, where I competed in ELA and became a National Finalist! My club also earned 1st place in both Songfest and Group Talent! This first convention showed me the incredible way Beta brings people together and created memories I’ll never forget! I also competed my 5th grade year in ELA, Songfest, and Group Talent once again and placed! While I don’t have many pictures from then, that convention truly showed me how Betas can come together!!

In 6th grade, I decided to step outside my comfort zone and run for Tennessee State Beta Office, and I won! I then took another leap of faith and ran for National Office. Although I didn’t win, the experience helped me grow as a leader, build confidence, and learn that leadership is about so much more than a title!

In 7th grade, I continued my journey by serving as Tennessee Junior Beta Vice President! This experience truly showed me what it means to be a Beta and lead by serving others. Along the way, I made countless friendships and memories that I will cherish forever!

Thanks to the opportunity to serve as an officer, I got to travel to several states and meet so many amazing people! My first convention was in Georgia, and it was a blast! Then, I got to visit the great state of Kentucky with my friends from Illinois, followed by my favorite convention in Louisiana! These are memories I will carry with me forever, and I thank God for every opportunity He has given me along the way!

When my term came to an end, I knew Beta would always hold a special place in my heart, and I wasn’t ready for my journey to end there! The friendships, the memories, and all of YOU are the reason I’m ready to give back to t
