POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Seeing the news out of #Cornell recently brought up a lot of heavy, familiar feelings.

As much as I want to keep my own story quiet, the reality is that it’s incredibly hard to feel safe in this world sometimes.

Trying to hold people accountable for their actions takes a massive toll (at least it did when I stood on trial staring my perpetrator in the eye and puked), but anyways…I’ve learned that moving forward starts with recognizing the bravery within ourselves as survivors to support each other.

It’s about speaking up and showing others that they aren’t carrying this alone.

Which is why I chose to go after this FKT last year in the midst of my own PTSD when to be honest,I didn’t know if I could do it.

But just wanted to see what would happen if I took a shot-I knew I wanted to reclaim my space in the world that felt taken from me and show other women & men effected by SA what is possible on the other side of profound trauma (that rocks the shit out of your mind, world, trust, and place in it).

When your sense of safety is stolen from you—especially in your own home public bathroom at the beach where you used to feel most free—it alters everything. Like not being able to leave your house because of fear except to go to the police station and the court room out of fear of the world around you.

Being there for women right now feels more vital than ever.

So, before I dig into my recap cause why not be brave and put my full story out- if you want to help support other survivors with resources to help reclaim their lives after SA our fundraiser for @tbtnfoundation, is STILL open in my bio.

We were able to surpass our goal of 11k this year but the donation link is still open in my bio if you feel called to donate or just pass this resource to someone who needs it to support survivors of SA to regain their lives back.

Soooo..the fkt round 2…

So, let’s start at the beginning: September 3rd 2026. Whitney Portal

It didn’t really hit me until the night before that I was attempting this again.

Last year, I went after the supported JMT record in gratitude to the mountain range that saved my life.

In 2024 before Christmas I was sexually assaulted a

Dave Landry gets a special shout out. His preparation and execution to finish @_themightygallatin were impeccable, until they weren't. But Dave wasn't alone. About 20% of our volunteer/runner footprint got a stomach virus that wreaked major havoc and ended Dave's finishing streak at Storm Castle TH on Day 5. Dave and Marcelle were a joy to interact with on every occasion. They both helped set up and break down camp. Marcelle was instrumental as a volunteer. Dave was toward the front and making every cutoff with time to spare. The virus hit him fast! I set out to pace Dave after he spent about 3 hours resting and working with Marcelle at AS2 to try to muster up the strength to continue before the cutoff, only to break down in front of me a half mile up the trail, knowing full well that if he couldn't eat, he couldn't continue. He truly gave it all he had and it was my honor to have him give MG a shot.

@davelostinthewoods is the definition of quietly capable — steady, calm, and the kind of runner who lets his forward motion do the talking. A northern Canadian through and through, Dave splits his time between trails, hockey, backcountry snowboarding, and anything that gets him outside in the cold. His trail name, Le Chevreuil (“The Deer”), fits perfectly: nimble, efficient, and always moving. Dave has grown into a true 200‑mile specialist, known for his mental resilience and ability to manage himself hour after hour, day after day. He's here at Mighty Gallatin to push himself in one of the toughest multi‑day mountain challenges out there — with his wife Marcelle (@marcellee.b ) by his side, as always.

@helgiolafson: Time got the best of me and I failed to introduce everyone before Adventure Director duties took priority, but I will just continue to tell the story from where I left off and leave it to those who find interest to decipher the content. I also need to introduce a few volunteers and two more runners. Once that is complete, I'll keep posting about the actual experience. Spoiler alert ⚠️ 📢 MG 2026 saw four new finishers, including our first female finisher. That's 5 finishers in 53 attempts.
