A falling hail
A song of the wind & stone
Causes a stirring in the ancient timbers
A pack of hounds you all resemble, trembling
I am the wolf who always lingers….

The helmet hatchet & mail is the way of the heathen
Head of the tyrant king we shall obtain
The eyes of terror is the bane of treason
His death is certain but his death was not in vain….

I have somber news that one of The.Spot.West.Seattle community has passed away. We in Seattle knew her as Ali Fyre @ali.fyre for a brief few months in the Summer of 2024. Her government family name was Sara Marie Hobler ( November 11, 1996 - October 27, 2024 ) of Buffalo, NY. Here are some links concerning her passing away:

https://www.legacy.com/us/obituaries/buffalonews/name/sara-hobler-obituary?id=56652116

This Saturday evening, November 23, 2024, at about 8:00 PM PST at the free Open-Mic Night at The.Spot.West.Seattle @thespotwestseattle , I will be behind the microphone speaking about Ali for about 10 minutes. I invite anyone in Seattle who hanged out with Ali to attend and to also speak at the mic if so motivated.
The.Spot.West.Seattle
2920 SW Avalon Way, Seattle, WA 98126

For those who cannot attend this Saturday, but would still like to converse (via Instagram or phone or other social media DMs), please reach out to one or more of the following: Nick @ol.kurtzy ; Joe @joeachelpohlmusic . Nick and Joe had more in depth conservations with Ali.

Sometimes, she would express that most of her singing or drawings were trivial and just an extravagant indulgence of her disposable time and energy. We had to constantly remind her that she and her works were not DISPOSABLE. Nor was any of her many small acts of kindness to strangers and friends.

Speaking of non-disposable art and acts of kindness, I would like to give a special THANK YOU SHOUT OUT to various businesses, individuals, and bands for making Ali’s last night in Seattle extra special on September 27, 2024:
Macleod's of Ballard @macleodsballard ; Skylark Cafe & Club of West Seattle @skylarkcafe ; Culvier band lead vocals and guitar: Ethan @ee_harmonee ; Culvier band @cuvierofficial ; The Sunset Tavern of Ballard @thesunsettavern ; guest vocalist: Iris Kymm @iriskymm ; Kumite band @kumite_music ; Kumite band lead vocals: Sola @sola_profitsea ; Kumite band bass: Dan @dan.bonnington ; Kumite band guitar: Kyle @iteration_k ; Kumite band drums: Gianni @gninja8 .

One year ago. @travisxthompson album release party at Burien Skatepark.

This was the first time in years that (almost) the entire Burien crew skated the park together again. Good times. Thanks for bringing us all together Travis.
